Chief of Operations, Brigade Staff Fort Stewart, GA
Planned and executed the Brigade’s culminating Situational Tactical Exercise, an event that utilized every combat and support
capability of the Brigade and its 5,000 Soldiers over a 63 day field operation simulating a modern military environment.
Engineered and executed the Brigade’s first ever assumption of Rapid Deploying Forces support, coordinating with higher and
adjacent unit headquarters and allowing Brigade to deploy a Battalion size force (aprox.800 Soldiers) worldwide within 24 hours.
Synchronized a recently redeployed Operations Section, reestablishing systems for daily operation, task tracking, and information
management.
3RD BRIGADE, 3RD INFANTRY DIVISION, US ARMY 2009 - 2011 Battalion Plans Officer, 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Staff (JUN - OCT 2011) Fort Benning, GA
Planned and resourced all aspects of the Battalions 30+ day Mechanized Gunnery Qualification density, to include scenario
development, qualification standards validation and life support. Involved more than 800 soldiers in 6 subordinate companies. Plan
became Brigade Standard for platoon live fire certification.
Completed the Army Special Forces Assessment and Selection Course, a program with a 70% plus attrition rate designed to assess
leadership, teamwork and decision making abilities. Selected for Special Operations training at the JFK Special Warfare Center.
Recognized by the Battalion Commander as one of the top three officers in Battalion, and among top 10% of all Combat Arms
Captains army wide; specifically recognized for interpersonal, conceptual and communication ability.
Infantry Platoon Leader, Bayonet Company, 2nd Battalion 69th Armor (MAY 2010 – JUN 2011) Fort Benning, GA/Iraq
Led 25 Soldiers and 12 NCOs deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in conjunction with Iraqi Army and Iraqi Police forces
in NW Babil Province, Iraq; assigned most difficult area of operations in the Brigade’s Battle Space.
Coordinated with Iraqi Military, Police, Militia, and community leaders to plan, resource and construct an Iraqi Army Base, security
checkpoints, road improvement and security program. Efforts increased the efficacy of the Battalion’s Force Protection Plan and
increased stability and host nation force integration.
Awarded the Bronze Star Medal for service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; recognized as the best Platoon Leader in the
Company, and one of the top 3 of 18 platoon leaders in the Battalion.
Assistant Logistics Officer, 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Staff (FEB - MAY 2010) Kalsu, Iraq
Supervised the renewal of four ‘life support’ services (power, water, food) contracts, each servicing more than 100 Soldiers at four
separate outposts in Iraq. Each contract incorporated both US and Host Nation employees.
Support Platoon Leader, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion (JUL 2009- FEB 2010) Fort Benning, GA/Iraq
Supervised 67 Soldiers to provide critical support function within the Brigade including Medical Support, Food Services, Vehicle and
Equipment Maintenance, and Hazardous Material/Fuel.
The only of eight Platoon Leaders awarded the Army Achievement Medal for leadership and planning contributions during the
Battalion’s pre-combat certification at the National Training Center.
Promoted to 1st Lieutenant and identified as one of the top 3 of 14 Lieutenants in the Battalion by the Battalion Commander;
specifically recognized for team building and interpersonal skills.
Assistant Battalion Plans Officer (JAN 2009 – JUL 2009)
Developed the Battalion’s Tactical Operations Center Standard Operating Procedure in preparation for deployment to Iraq.
Selected as 2nd Lieutenant, ahead of ranking officers as Support Platoon Leader, a position slated for a 1st Lieutenant.
