All,

We have been busy checking in new fabric! Did you know that 2014 is the 200th

birthday of The Star Spangled Banner??? The lyrics come from the poem, "Defence

of Fort McHenry" written by Francis Scott Key in 1814. It was set to the tune of a

popular British song written by John Stafford Smith. These fabrics commemorate

this important part of our national history and culture. Now available!

My last visit with the oncologist went great! My numbers were down so no more

treatments right now! I don’t go back again till March! Thank you all so much for

the prayers and wishes!

I hope you have all been staying warn with all of this crazy weather we have been

having! Hope to see you all soon!

Are you tired of being at home all the time??? Do you love the quilt shop??? I need

2 people to help out! One for Tuesday & one on Saturday’s. If you are interested

just give me a call at the shop!

Red Velvet Cupcakes With Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

o 2 1/2 cups flour

o 1 1/2 cups sugar

o 1 teaspoon baking soda

o 1 teaspoon salt

o 1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Frosting o 16 ounces cream cheese, softened

o 1 cup butter, softened

o 1 teaspoon vanilla

o 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Sift the first five ingredients together. In another bowl, slowly mix together the rest of the ingredients for the

cupcakes. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until well combined. 3. Fill paper lined muffin tins about 2/3 full. Bake for 20-22 minutes, turning the pans once at the halfway mark.

Stick a toothpick in the middle of one to see if it comes out clean for doneness. Cool before frosting.

4. For the frosting,.

5. Mix cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until smooth. Add the sugar slowly. Mix on high until it's fluffy.

Upcoming Classes

Class Policy

All classes are filled on a first-come, first serve basis. Classes fill FAST and are limited in size. Registration fee is due at sign up. If you need to cancel or

reschedule, we would appreciate 12 hours notice.

As a courtesy to others, no babies or children under 8 are allowed. Children over 8 are welcome to attend if they have paid the regular class fee and

are accompanied by an adult registered for the same class.

Please arrive early for classes, as they will begin on time. Please check each class description for supplies you need to br ing or come early and we’ll

be happy to assist you with finding what you need.

Class participants receive a 20% discount on any purchase made during class.
