This guide is intended as a quick reference. See Operator’s Manual provided with your Graco sprayer for full instructions on proper use and all safety warnings.
Fire and explosion hazard: Solvent and paint fumes can ignite or explode. To help prevent a fire and explosion:• Use only in an extremely well ventilated area.• Eliminate all ignition sources; such as pilot lights, cigarettes and
static arcs from plastic drop cloths. Do not plug or unplug powercords or turn lights on or off in spray area.
• Ground Sprayer, object being sprayed, paint and solvent pails.• Hold gun firmly to side of grounded pail when triggering into pail.• Use only conductive airless paint hose.• Do not use 1,1,1–trichloroethane, methylene chloride, other
halogenated hydrocarbon solvents or fluids containing such solventsin pressurized aluminum equipment. Such use could result in a chemical reaction, with the possibility of explosion.
Fluid injection and fluid splashback hazard:High pressure spray or leaks can inject fluid into thebody or can cause fluid to splash back.To help prevent injection and splashback:• Never allow children to use this unit.• Engage trigger safety latch when not spraying.• Keep clear of nozzle and leaks.• Never spray without a tip guard.• Do PRESSURE RELIEF if you stop spraying or begin
servicing sprayer.• Do not use components rated less than sprayer
maximum working pressure.• Wear safety glasses at all times to prevent eye injury.

Submerge suction tube inpaint. Turn Power Switch ON,and trigger gun into wastepail. When paint comes out ofdrain tube, turn Prime/Sprayvalve to SPRAY.
When paint comes out of gun, release trigger. Pump will buildup pressure, and motor will stop. Transfer drain tube to paint pail.
Put trigger safety lever in SAFETY ON position.
Install tip and guard on gun, andhand tighten. You are now readyto spray.
If tip clog occurs, this spray tip reverses, enabling you to quickly clear obstructions without disassembly.
Turn the Pressure Control Knobright (clockwise) to increasepressure at the gun, and turn it left (counterclockwise) todecrease the pressure.
Point gun at surface to be sprayed about 12 in (304 mm) away fromsurface, and begin moving the gun before you trigger it. A good spraypattern is evenly distributed as it hits the surface. Set the pressure so it is just high enough to spray without “tails.” If tails persist at thehighest pressure, a smaller tip is needed to spray the material or thematerial may need to be thinned.
