Quick Reference Guide

New functionalities within your hotelcareer company center.

Create a new job offer

• Please click on „Job posting management“ on the left menu bar.

• Afterwards click on the red button „Create a new job offer“.

• Please select rank, employment, department, contact person and a specific folder where you wish to save your advert.

• The scroll downs on the top of the page (activate job offers for a certain period) don‘t have to be filled out.

• Click on „Next “.

• The advert will come up in a separate popup.• If your computer is set up with an active popup blocker, you‘ll see

a message in blue on the top of the browser window. • With a right mouse click you can edit the settings by allowing

popups from the hotelcareer site.• Afterwards there should be no problem to access the popup to

modify your advert.

• Within the popup of the advert you can fill out the field for text 1 (above the position), name the position itself and edit text in field 2 (below the position).

• Click on the right button „Save“.

• The advert you just set up is now listed within the folder of deactivated job offers and is shown in the specific folder you have selected when creating the advert.

• Please click on the specific folder which includes the advert you are going to activate.

• In order to activate the advert you need to flag the checkbox HC which stands for hotelcareer. Afterwards finalize the activation by clicking on the red button „activate / deactivate“.

• Now your advert has successfully been posted and is online.

Confirmation mail (optional feature)

• In order to send out an automatically generated and personalized e-mail confirming the receipt of an online application to the applicant, please click on „Modify company details“ on the left menu bar.

• Modify the scroll „Send out confirmation mail“ to– „immediately“, meaning the confirmation mail will be send out as soon as

you receive an online application OR

– „within 24 hours“, meaning the confirmation will be send out within the next hours.

• Click on „Confirmation mail“ on the left menu bar. Within this section you can modify and save the text of your confirmation e-mail.

• Below the text box of your e-mail we have listed placeholders

– placeholders for applicant meaning the sender of the online application

– placeholders for user which is you, the advertising company

• Those placeholders can be copied into the e-mail text at any position.

• As soon as the confirmation mail is sent out placeholders will automatically be personalized with the data stored in our system.

• Therefore each mail you will send out includes personal details from the applicant and from yourself.
