SAT classes were cancelled because of alow enrollment, so we are trying to researchif this is still a viable philanthropy or if highschool students are using online classes to prep for the tests. Everyone is welcome to come to regular meetings, althoughwe are having a special welcome for Sustaining Members andAuxiliary Members in February. If you wish to attend, just callthe Recording Secretary Pat Spencer and let her know to countyou in for lunch. Sue McGrew, Hospitality chairman
Authors and illustrators rarely meet, even after their book is published. Two of our
fabulous presenters, Vincent Kirsch and Jeri Chase Ferris, worked on the same book,
Noah Webster & His Words, which was awarded the 2012 Golden Kite Award (to honor
children’s authors/illustrators and given by their peers). On Feb. 6, at Jefferson
Elementary, they were able to meet for the first time and talk about their collaboration
due to Assistance League Glendale’s planning and invitation to be at our event.
