Because they want to have freedom. They think religion is like a chain, a restriction. Some people say religion is like a drug, not solving a problem, just numbing feelings but not solving a problem. They also say religion is the cause of problems. But in the contrary, the right religion will teach you how to be a free person, the real freedom. The wrong religion has chains. Don’t make it a matter that after so many years of listen, you still don’t know why your deen is Islam. Deeni Islam= beautiful way of life.

Ø When you really know what Al-Islam is, it’s a great favor upon us. Allah enlightens you, and guides you to accept Islam, and to follow Islam.

The religion with Allah is Islam. Anyone who takes any religion other than Islam, it is not accepted from him. Any religion other than Islam is a fake religion. Man-made religion change and suit some people, not others. But with Allah the religion is Islam. Islam is the religion of all the Messengers, not just for the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص Islam is not only for Arabs. Islam is for all the

colors, even for the Jinn also. Ø Islam is valid for everyone, not only for certain people.

Evidence in the Quran that the Messengers were Muslims:

Nuh was a Muslim

And recite to them the news of Nuh (Noah). When he said to his people: "O my people, if my stay (with you), and my reminding (you) of the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah is hard on you, then I put my trust in Allah. So devise your plot, you and your partners, and let not your plot be in doubt for you. Then pass your sentence on me and give me no respite.

"But if you turn away [from accepting my doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allah], then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from

Allah, and I have been commanded to be one of the Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)." (10:71-72)

Ibrahim was a Muslim:

Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. (2:128)

Ø Why do we need evidence? Because we need our belief to be very strong.

Ibrahim made dua to Allah, “make us Muslimeen.” But they are already Muslims! He made dua to Allah to make him really truly Muslim.

Ø We think to ourselves: Are we really Muslim? We claim that we are Muslim but do our actions say we are Muslims. Are people safe from our tongue and our limbs? Are we peaceful, not causing trouble? Our messenger was thinking about the offspring, and asking Allah make them Muslims. However, not all his offspring are Muslim because Allah knows who are the ones that are truly Muslims, and who deserves this. Because we are Muslimeen we thinking: We our your servants, Tell me what to do for you. Because we are Muslimeen, we need forgiveness.

Musa alayhi salam was a Muslim

And Moses said, "O my people, if you have believed in Allah , then rely upon Him, if you should be Muslims." (10:84)

Ø We think the religion of Musa is Yahood, but that’s not true. Yahood are the people who did not accept the religion after. They didn’t accept Isa’s alayhi salam message. “Nasara” are those that didn’t accept the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصwhen he

came. But all the messengers are Muslimeen. Anyone who did not accept the next Messenger is not Muslim.

Ø In the time of Musa, they were called Muslim. But in the time of the Prophet .when they rejected him, they are called yahood , ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص

Ø Musa is calling the people, because they were under the oppression of Firaun. “Oh my people, if you believe in Allah, then trust Allah.” Meaning, you are having an enemy, in this case Firaun) then trust Allah, if you are Muslims. Bani Israel in this time are Muslims, the name of Yahood came after.

Ø Example, if you have grade 1 student, grade 2 student, 3…etc. After you graduate grade 1, you are supposed to go to grade 2. But he wants to stay in grade 1. He will not be elevated. For the yahood, the tawrah came to them. But when the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص came they stayed with what they had, not upgraded.

Ahlul-Kitaab, meaning in that time there was the book. But when the Prophet came, the past books were abrogated. They had different books but they ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص

are all Muslims. All the messengers are Muslim, Islam is not only for the Nabi, it is for anyone. So why are you making your own line? Follow Musa, then follow the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص. Now who else is Muslim?

Isa was a Muslim

But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?" The disciples said," We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]. (3:52)

Ø Isa came as a miracle. He came with no father and he spoke when he was a baby. The people split in two, the people who didn’t follow him from Bani Israel became “Yahood.” They refused to believe and the plotted to kill him.

Ø Isa wanted to know who was with him, “who are the supporters to Allah?” They say Hawaryoon, ansaara Allah, not ansaaruka (not your [Isa’s] supporters), we are supporters of Allah, even though Allah doesn’t need support. They didn’t idolize Isa because they said we are Muslims. The people around Isa that followed him are called Muslims. Those who follow Musa and stayed around him

are called Muslims. Those that idolize Isa and worship him, we don’t call them Ansaara Allah. Because they idolize and worship Isa.

Ø Isa is not son of god, how can this be possible. Also Isa is not god. His birth was a miracle but him and his mother eat food. So we do not idolize them, but we also do not kill them. Messengers have a mission. Isa is a Muslim and people who followed him are also Muslim.

We know these things but we need to know the proof. It makes our believes strong. Deen Islam needs an evidence for our beliefs. No one can change your mind.

Yusuf was also Muslim

My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous." (12:101)

Ø He is a Messenger but he asked Allah to die as a Muslim. Ibrahim also asked for him and his son to be Muslim. These are duas of special people, so we can make dua and also make dua for the Messengers.

Sulayman was also a Muslim

She said: "O chiefs! Verily! Here is delivered to me a noble letter, Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads: 'In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, "Be you not exalted against me, but come to me as Muslims (true believers who submit to Allah with full submission)' " (27:29-31)

Ø Sulayman was always a king, never a layman. He was king for everything, even the wind. He was very firm. If anyone was absent he would ask about them. Even the miskeen that was late had to say why he was late. The Hudhud was stressed because he saw people worshipping the sun so he brought this news to Sulayman.

Ø Sulayman wanted to verify so he told the hudhud to take the letter and throw on them. Balqees, the Queen of Saba read this letter (they were worshipping the sun). He explain the kitaab on the risaala, it’s not just a normal letter. A person who is very great brought this risaala. The letter said “Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem”.. What does it want them to be? Be all Muslims. He said this straightforward because he was a powerful king. He said what means: Don’t show more power on me, come to me now Muslimeen. Balqees accepted Islam.

All these evidences show that Islam is the religion of all the Messengers. It is religion of Allah, the only religion Allah accepts. There’s no compulsion in religion. Allah shows you clear right and wrong.

Islam- to submit yourself to the will of One Lord, believe in One Lord, devote to One Lord. And don’t believe in a mediator between you and Allah. Believe in a one-to-one relation. This is freedom. Any other religion will not be easy the Lord, People will take money, take privilege from their followers. That’s why Islam teaches you there is no one, no body between you and Allah.

To all the creation, the religion is Islam

Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned. (3:83)

Ø No religion except Islam. In Surah Imraan, “do you want any other religion rather than the religion of Allah.” Really, Islam is preserving you. “Aslama”- everything is “Aslama”- surrenders to Allah, ie: “hands up” Willingly or Unwillingly. That means there is those who surrender unwillingly, but in the end they will surrender.

Ø Who surrender willingly? Believers.

Ø Who surrenders unwillingly? Disbelievers, how? In Allah’s decree. You chose, you do, you live, you die but you will surrender to Allah at the end. So then you surrender willingly, because when you surrender willingly, you will be rewarded.

Ø No one will ask Allah why something happened. But He will ask you. “Wa ilayhi yurjioon,” to Him you will return. If you surrender willingly =rewarded. If you surrender unwillingly= no reward. So we accept deeni Islam willingly!
