When you’re affected by cancer, having the right kind of information and support, at the right time, is essential. The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre at Barnet Hospital provides a confidential, drop-in service for anyone affected by cancer. This includes people who:

• requireinformationabout cancer

• haveacancerdiagnosis

• havesurvivedcancer

• arelivingwiththeconsequences of a cancer diagnosis

• arelookingtoreducetherisks of cancer

• areacarer,relative,orfriendof someone with cancer

• arehealthcareprofessionals

How we can helpStaffed by a Macmillan Information Specialist and trained volunteers, we are able to provide:

• literatureonallaspectsof living with cancer

• theopportunitytodiscuss cancer treatments, side effects and other related issues

• theopportunitytotalkto someone in a private, comfortable quiet room

• overthephoneinformation and support for those not able to access the service in person

We also offer

• informationaboutlocaland national support services

• abenefitsadviceservicein conjunction with the local Citizens Advice Centre
