A+ School Grades Test1. LEP students with one year or more in the LEP program are

included in the writing score calculation.2. Schools who increase their mean score in writing earn

learning gains.3. All LEP and ESE students are included in the reading

calculations.4. Retainees get learning gains only for improving a level.5. Nonretainees in Levels 1 and 2 need at least a one point gain

for learning gains.6. Level 3 or above students need to stay proficient to earn

learning gains.7. Math scores account for 25% of the school grade.8. The bar for reading and math proficiency has been raised this

coming year.
