ì ANALYSING RESULTS
TARGET AUDIENCE QUESTIONNAIRE
As part of my research, in order to make as effecAve and successful piece, I elaborated a quesAonnaire for a wide range of 50 people to answer. The quesAonnaire contained a mix of both opened and closed quesAons. My aim was to have a clearer picture of my target audience and so to be able to appeal to their needs and wants in the most effecAve way.
Q1. Tick your gender.

60% of the answers came from men. While 40% came from women, so we have an even distribuAon in order to achieve reliable results.

We can see how most people choose to buy a magazine from the menAoned genre once a month, therefore, in order to be as effecAve as possible, my magazine will be published on a monthly basis.

By looking at the graph we can tell that most people would pay between 3€ and 5€ for the magazine, but our target audience: 16-‐20 age group, is more likely to spend between 3€ and 4€ (they have a lower disposable income), which is precy good revenue for a magazine from the genre. Therefore I will sell mine at 3.50€

QuesAon 7 is going to help me deduce what to put into the front cover sell lines in order to appeal to the target audience in the most successful way. In this case it is going to be: • Tips and advice on how to become or keep on being fit. • Stuff available to improve target audience’s performance. • Keeping them up to date with the sport they like/pracAce.
Q.8 Mention 2 hobbies you like practicing.
Music related (dancing, listening to, DJ…) Team sports (rugby, soccer…)
Running or similar (waling…)
Racket sports (tennis, paddle…)
These were the four main types of hobbies which came top in the quesAonnaire. It is useful to know because they give an idea of broader interests from the target audience, related with my magazine’s genre, which I can appeal as well at a smaller rate for greater effect.
Q9. Do you currently attend a gymnasium or do any type of workout?
Frequency
Yes, on a daily basis.
Yes, every 2 days.
Yes, once a week.
Very few Ames, not really.
The results from this quesAon reveal the level of experience that the target audience itself has. We can see most of them acend a gymnasium or do some type of workout every 2 days. Their experience is high and therefore the content in the magazine should have the appropriate high quality for it to be effecAve and for the magazine as a whole to be successful when appealing to the target audience.
Q.10 Rate the content of the magazine in terms of what you are most interested in.
