Conclusions Most students say that they never spit in

public, so they are very polite. Students at age of 15-18 are sometimes

swearing in public, but there are also students who never do that.

In Latvia students do not accept smoking in public and they can also comment when someone is doing something that is not acceptable.

In Latvia it is not important to know how much somebody earns.

In Latvia it is not acceptable to ask women about their age.

Conclusions Most of students do not talk with their parents

about sex. Students in Latvia think that they should give seat

to older people. Sometimes students support church as an

authority. Most of students follow school rules, but not always. Most of students in Latvia have sometimes cheated

and played truant. When Latvian students go out with friends, they

take juice or water, but ¼ of them also takes alcoholic drinks.

Conclusions In Latvia men do not always let women first, it depends

on men. Most of students think that men apologize only if they

are wrong and women also do the same. Men in Latvia are very nice, they buy women gifts with

no particular reason. In Latvia men and women share duties equally. In Latvia most of housework does mother, but there are

also many families where duties are shared. In Latvia there is no one who doesn’t help at home,

everyone sometimes helps. It is difficult in Latvia to eat meals with family because

people are very busy.

Conclusions In most of families the boss is mother, but in some

families- it is father or both parents. Students trust their parents and sometimes talk with

them about problems. Most people in our country live in apartments on estates

of blocks. Most people go to church every Sunday, but there is

also someone who is an atheist. Religion is important for 57 students, but there are also

people to whom religion is in background or they don’t care.

Almost everyone says that nowadays people less and less care about religion and old customs.

Conclusions Most students at Christmas have a Christmas tree and

gifts, but there are also families that do not celebrate Christmas.

At Easter most students go to church. In Latvia when people meet a friend they used to say

hello or kiss on cheek. To person who is not a friend in Latvia students also say

hello. Sometimes students when they talk use different

gestures. Students always look at person with who they talk. Students sometimes nod to say yes. Latvians are an interesting nation.
