LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT FROM IT, IN THE PROGRESSION FROM IT TOTHE FULL PRODUCT?

From the progression of my preliminary task I feel that I have learnt how to use a range

of programmes that before I didn’t have the skills to use, I have learnt how to make text

stand out and how to choose the right image to make a good magazine, I have also

learnt how to take effective photos from different angles to create effect. I have also changed my main colour schemes after first

creating the magazine these slight alternations have made my magazine flow

better and all of the colours are in a matching house style throughout. I have

learnt the typical layout of a magazine front cover.

On my contents page I have learnt to use Photoshop to edit the effects on my Images, I have also learnt how to research about magazines to find a professional look that I like. I got my

ideas from a fashion magazine for the text type and numbers and

brought this look into my magazine to create the look that I wanted. I

cropped and resized all of my images and also made my ‘BASE’ title for this

page on in design as well. I learnt how to use shapes and different

colours and what a good layout for a contents page would be.
