The Preliminary Task
In the preliminary task I learnt how to do techniques such as the shot reverse shot, the 180 degree rule and how to do match on action.
I also learnt how to do scripting, making a storyboard, how the camera and microphone works, and how to do scripting.
After that I learnt how to do editing techniques such as making cuts, fades, and making text appear on the screen.
I found the editing and camera work easy, however I found making the script and storyboard hard so it was good to get the experience for those things for the movie opening.

The Movie Opening
In my movie opening I have made good use in:• Camera shots• Researching of my genre• Detailed planning in– Shot lists– Shooting schedules– Story boards– Scripting
The Movie Opening
• My editing• Photoshop skills• Mise en scene used
Camera Shots
The camera shots in my movie opening are varied . I have used two shots, long shots, over the shoulder shots, close ups, extreme close ups, pov shots, and a tracking shot.
Research Of My Genre
While researching my genre I had to find out who my target audience were by doing interviews, what age most of them are, what gender most of them are, and how many of them are there.
I also had to find out what content was in my genre, such as the themes, character types, and costumes.
Editing
When it came to editing I was able to use different fonts, texts, animations, and fades to present the different key cast. What’s more, I was able to use some special effects to put rain in the background of the film logo, and put a fuzzy T.V. effect.
Photoshop
With Photoshop I was able to make a studio logo and a film logo. I made the studio logo by getting one of us to draw the studio logo, next I used Photoshop to draw on top of it and make smoother images, then I put them on a background with text.
For m film logo I got a royalty free picture with a pattern and put it underneath the text, I then replaced the letter “P” with a royalty free picture of a gun.
