This camera was very useful because it gave a lot of clarity in my photos. A feature on this camera is the lenses that is able to zoom in and out so I can take photos from further away from the cover artist but keep the photo from neck up without effecting the lighting in the background. I have pressed the trigger to focus the camera onto the cover artist.

As I keep stressing through out my analyses the photography is important as the end product of my magazines should look professionalism. To increase the professionalism I used an object called a strobe light . What a strobe light dose is allows me to controlling the volume of shadow that I wanted. What I wanted was a clear crisp image with little to no shadow and this flash light helped this however for me the photographer I would have to press the button on the flashlight to activate it. To prevent more ease and better quality of photo I have also used a trigger which sends infra red signal sent to Strobe flash – triggers the flash in-sync with the camera shutter.Hemisphere 300 – Strobe flash Horseshoe flash trigger

Lighting … 2/2I needed a constant light source for my music magazine that will provide my picture with the ideal background. I have resulted into using an artificial light source that can provide a bright light on the cover artists face ensuring that there is no shadows and gives the image a clarity. However without a solid block color background I wouldn't’t not be able to achieve this professional feel with the whole graphic focusing on the cover artist and nothing else and the reasons this background dose this is when its lit with a further two strobes on full power to create a high exposure, white background. . I have also used a backdrop that was the color white and this enables the whole focus to be on the cover artist and nothing else. I used an apple iMac as a system to use the software on and I found it very useful as it enables me to use software that enable me to manipulate photos and text into a document representing a magazine. Now on to the software I used …Photoshop

A very important software I have used for the majority of the design process is Adobe Photoshop version CS5 . This application enables me to manipulate photos. An example of this is on the front cover of my music magazine I have used the ‘levels’ enabling me to edit the levels to the images effecting the coloring of the image.

Photoshop tools I used I needed to cut out my image to give it a professional feel and enable text to hug the image and I needed this especially for my front cover as my text sourended my cover artist. I also used this tool for one of my two contents page pictures and my article photo. This tool enables you to crop a photo to your liking. Down below is a step by step guide on how I used this software and the tool of cropping the image.

1. Open up an image

2. Duplicate the layer

3. Use the magic wand tool

4. Then it will highlight your image with a stroke around it

5. Click on the cut tool then the image will be cut out

The text tool As you can see from the top of this slide I used text fonts frequently in the production of my music magazine and from the bar at the top I was able to Change Font , Change Size , Change Thickness , Change gaps and where the text is aligned on the page. Also I used a very important tool for my front cover and the tool I used was the stroke and drop shadow effect this gave my text more depth and made it stand out.

FirefoxThis browser allowed me to access websites such as word press witch allowed me to distribute my content with the exam board. Also it allowed me to

download the font ‘CHUNKYFIVE’.

Adobe Power point Power point has allowed me to present my work in an alternative way and this enables me to put information on different format with slides that I'm able to manipulate into the program ‘Slide share’ that allows me to put it on the word press and present my information to the examine board.

OSK – Operating system This is the server that my mac is on and it holds all the information and different accounts that are on the computer and this is arguably the most important piece of soft wear.
