I think the unique selling point to our audience was the fact that it was filmed in Black and White. Its not often films are completely shown in black and white. Although we used young actors, which could appeal to a variety of audiences, especially that of a young age, I do believe it was the black and white that attracts the audience.

It’s aesthetically pleasing and brings out colours or shots
that would look ‘average’ in normal colour. It was a big risk but I think as a
group we pulled it off well. A black and
white psychological horror is also quite
uncommon, but I also believe our
actors/actresses could add to the attraction
of our film.

Obviously they are completely un-known because they are students, but if our film was released across cinema’s, I believe the fact that
they are un-heard of would add to the indie genre of the film. Audiences love hearing stories about up and coming actors/actresses,
for example, Eddie Redmayne in the Theory Of Everything.

The structure of our film will also attract our audience, as our opening sequence leaves the whole storyline open,
with the audience wanting to find out what happens next. A cliffhanger is an extremely effective way of capturing
the audiences attention.
