Addressing and attracting the audience We attracted our audience by telling people

who may like it about it. What we did was construct a questionnaire to

find what response we would receive about what teenagers and young adults like.

We constructed a questionnaire as to what young adults would like to see and tried to use and develop as much of what they asked for within the questionnaire.

Most liked to see the protagonist go through some sort of psychologically ill state, so we tried to incorporate this idea to our film.

Addressing and attracting the audience As a questionnaire from a small sample

was not generalisable, I also researched online about what kind of films were popular with the age range we were looking at.

This was rather useful as I had found that a lot of people around this age group enjoyed watching psychological thrillers.

A few examples of the films young adults enjoyed were films like “Donnie Darko”, “Black Swan” and “The Butterfly Effect”.

Addressing and attracting the audience Furthermore, after asking them, we

had asked what they had thought of the final product and whether this audience age group would enjoy it.

We received helpful tips about what went well and how we could improve next time if it were to be a longer film.
