Page 2: Question 5

Direct address ensures that eye contact is made between the artists featured on my front cover and the audience.

The bottom strip attempts to inform the audience they are receiving more than they bargained for

Questions involve the audience engaging them in the storylines intriguing them to read further.

After conducting a questionnaire to gather audiences preferable colour schemes, I decided to go with the majority of dark colours, keeping it simple yet added blue in the clothes to attract the audience further.

Emboldened text catches the audiences attention.

Consistent typography is used to get the audience familiar with the magazine.

Having a wide range of features ensures the audience that they have paid a reasonable price for a lot of content, this attracts further purchases.

Images offer more of a realistic insight into the gig that was reported on. This gives the audience the feel of being there and again breaks up the large amount of text for those not fond of reading.

The website featured on the double page spread offers the audience even more magazine material of their acquired taste. It also forms a consistent relationship between the particular reader and the magazine, again attracting the audience. Promoting albums and bands ensures the reader

that they are being kept up to date on the latest trends in music. Also, another website offered introduces them closely to a new band.

Drop quotes separate interesting or funny quotes out of the interview, attracting the audience to read the whole thing and find out what exactly the quote is referring to.

Consistent white writing on black background colour scheme insists that a cluttered or unattractive image is not what the magazine gives off to the audience.
