question 4

2
Question 4: Who would be the audience for your media product? The audience for my magazine would be teenagers aged 14-25 years of age. I want my magazine to be relatable for the female population but include males as well so i have added bands that involve males. I have made my main model a female as i want women to view the magazine and males may find her appealing and pick up the magazine. The main image is of a female looking sideways, discarding the stereotypical direct mode of address on cover images. The price of my magazine is £1.00 as i want it to be available to everyone. When i first did my survey, the feedback was from a younger population who stated they would like the magazine to be cheaper than most as it would be accessible to students I created a group chat including myself and 5 other people who are within my target audience (age and gender wise). They gave me feedback on the following questions: 1) what immediately catches your eye 2) Can you identify the music genre 3) What do you think of the house style? 4) What do you think of the image and text placements? 5) Would you buy this magazine? 6) What can be improved and why?

Question 4: Who would be the audience for your media product? The audience for my magazine would be teenagers aged 14-25 years of age. I want my magazine to be relatable for the female population but include males as well so i have added bands that involve males. I have made my main model a female as i want women to view the magazine and males may find her appealing and pick up the magazine. The main image is of a female looking sideways, discarding the stereotypical direct mode of address on cover images. The price of my magazine is £1.00 as i want it to be available to everyone. When i first did my survey, the feedback was from a younger population who stated they would like the magazine to be cheaper than most as it would be accessible to students

I created a group chat including myself and 5 other people who are within my target audience (age and gender wise). They gave me feedback on the following questions:

1) what immediately catches your eye2) Can you identify the music genre3) What do you think of the house style? 4) What do you think of the image and text placements? 5) Would you buy this magazine? 6) What can be improved and why?

The overall feedback was positive as there were hardly any improvements from the audience. Most said they would buy my magazine and those who declined stated that they prefer a different genre of music but like some traits of rock music. The main comments I noticed was the audience noticed the bold masthead which caught their eye. The colour scheme was also seen positively as those who answered said they believed the colour scheme suited the genre and it was simple to tell what the genre was by looking at the front cover. When looking through the magazine, there was positive feedback on the images used and the house style as people enjoyed the colours going through. There was one negative comment that said the colour scheme was quite repetitive which, if the chance became available, I would fix.
