2. 2. Why is it Important to Identify and Choose the Correct Institutions to create your film? It is important to identify and choose the correct institution as the audience would know the type od film and genre they will be watching. When an audience watch a film, when they see the institution that was involved they will make an association with the genre. In addition the institutions reputation will make the audience have certain expectations from the film they are about to watch.
3. 3. Production & Distribution Company I chose C&I Productions to produce my film I chose Revolver Entertainment to distribute my film
4. 4. Big Major or Independent? These are small independent companies which is conventional of my sub-genre. Youth dramas do not have big industrial companies producing their films, not like High School Dramas. I did research to see what companies have distributed and produced similar films within the same genre such as Kidulthood and Adulthood. - Revolver Entertainment (UK) 2006 - Stealth Films, TMC Films and Cipher Films Based on this information I decided to make up a production company C&I Productions in relation to the other small independent companies such as the ones above. This allowed me to make it original to my film but also conventional to the sub- genre. I kept the distribution company the same Revolver Entertainment so when the audience see this institution they are aware of the sub-genre of the film and carry expectations of the film.
5. 5. Benefits The companies are likely to produce and distribute my film as they have done so with other similar films. I can distribute my film quickly to my target audience. The reputation of the company is highly known for the films they distribute to the public.
6. 6. The Impact on the Title Sequence - As our film is a Youth Drama it should have a lot of titles in the title sequence. This is because for independent films the budget is low and more company contributions are required. It is much harder for independent films to find companies. There would generally be more production companies and less actors as the budget is not big enough to afford Hollywood actors/stars. -For example: Attack The Block Due to time management issues I only had one production company title, I didnt get to do 3 like I intended but I had to make sure our title sequence was complete for the deadline. However, everyone who needed to be credited was such as the director, casting, costume designer etc.

Type of Release Digital distribution: Our title sequence was put online for our target audience to see Digital Theatrical distribution: Ancillary Distribution: My title sequence was premiered at an independent cinema The Screen on the Green My title sequence will be distributed on DVD which will be available to my target audience Social Media: I created a Twitter account which was used to show my target audience about my title sequence
