- The age of the artists on the front cover is an older teenager which is conventional as the younger teenage girls would look up to her as a role model and would persuade them into wanting to buy the magazine.

- The language on the front cover of my magazine represents social groups because the language is informal and colloquial, this shows that the magazine is ‘cool’ and that they would rather read short monosyllabic words for faster paced reading so they don’t get bored. Such as ‘fun’ and ‘Win’.

SUMMARY

• Overall I can see that I have matched the conventions and representations of a real pop music magazine to my magazine successfully. I have identified the use of costumes, images, how the artists are portrayed and the psychographic and demographics and have seen that my front cover and ‘we love pop’s’ front cover are very similar, using good use of social class to represent the magazines.

• The magazines are both reasonably priced so the working class audience cn easily afford to purchase the magazine.

• The costumes and locations show that they are in ordinary places with affordable clothes on which suggests how the readers can imitate the artists well even if they don’t have a lot of money.
