We are Australia’s youth driven charity for LGBTIQ youth. For 21 years, Minus18 has been running high impact LGBTIQ events, education and campaigns, across Australia.

EVENTS EDUCATION CAMPAIGNSMaking friends and having safe community supports LGBTIQ youth to build confidence and improve their mental health. Minus18 host events across Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide to give young people a space to be their true selves.

Minus18 head into schools and workplaces to deliver high impact training, professional development and workshops to give you the tools you need to drive LGBTIQ inclusion.

We create campaigns to drive visibility for the high rates of bullying and discrimination LGBTIQ youth still face today and rally schools, business and indiviudals Australia-wide to take action against bullying.

Partnering with Minus18 to bringthe 2019 Melbourne Queer Formalto life was a powerful momentfor Instagram in Australia, andrecognized across our global teamas one of the most impressive andcreative events we invested in thisyear. The Minus18 team broughtenergy, passion, and know-how tothe process—they were excitedto collaborate on developing aspectacular event, but commendablyput the well-being of the youngattendees before any partnership orevent priorities.

PRIDE MONTH LGBTIQ CAMPAIGNS COLLABORATIONSAustralia celebrates Pride during February - March with Midsumma and Mardi Gras in Melbourne and Sydney respectively, as well as other international days of significance.

Converse has donated proceeds to Minus18 during their Pride Range campaigns in June.

Minus18 activates across the country for three core campaigns, to raise awareness, support events and celebrate pride.

Minus18 has worked with brands to co-create opportunities to support the LGBTIQ community.

In 2018, the design of a LUSH exclusive Pride Product (such as a Rainbow Bath Bomb) with proceeds donated to Minus18, as part of Trans Awareness Week.

CAMPAIGNS FOR LGBTIQ YOUTHOPPORTUNITIES

• In 2019, Minus18 worked with Levis to release a Pride kit across Australian stores.

• Sponsorship of the Adelaide Queer Formal, including the Levi’s Main Stage and Tailor Shop activation

• Levi’s staff attended the event, were they connected with young people and provided free Pride Customisation

• 83% of attendees were more likely to engage with Levi’s in the future

• 87% of attendees felt positive about their identity after the event

• Levi’s hosted a Minus18 LGBTIQ workshop for staff at their Melbourne Head Office
