    Marching On...

What a month of blessings March has been. The Lord blessed us

with a great new ministry vehicle. The Queens and interns now all

fit into one vehicle. The people of Shiya's got a pair of flip flops andmore knitting wool. Our folks in Shiya learned about the Passover

and Lord's Supper. We are able to help teach in the

Sibongumbomvu primary school now. Our Sweetwaters Bible study

students are growing in the Lord. Elizabeth got a job for next year.

Jacob got to help on home visits. We are so grateful for all the Lord

    is doing here.

    Jumping for Joy!

We were blown away by the

    generosity of our Grove Level

family. The new vehicle the Lord

has provided is perfect for us. It fits

all the interns and us so everyone

has a seat belt now. It can handle

the muddy roads we have here too.

To God be the glory for He is the

    God Who Provides.

    Shiyabazali Smiles

Thomas really enjoys playing with the

kids of Shiya's while the adults are

inside learning the Bible story. He

sings songs with the kids in Zulu. He

even teaches them how to give a

High 5 or a "tater" as he calls it. He

has begun teaching the elders at Site

11 how to be disciples to their

    community. He still faithfully teaches

    the Sweetwaters Bible study each

week. This month the teens learned

    about baptism, communion,

    the Resurrection, and the Ascension.

    The Gals of Grade 7

    On Tuesday & Wednesdays,

    we now have the opportunity

to teach the kids in grades 4-7.

I got assigned the grade 7 girls.

They are a trip! I do a Bible

    story with them then teach

    them a lesson. We learned

about the Solar system on this

    day pictured. We also learned

    about the awesome powerful

    God who spoke those planets

    into existence. So excited

    about this new way to

    evangelize in our neighboring

    school.

    Foot Washing

One of the fun activities we have

been doing, is pairing the Bible

story with an actual real day

example. We got some locale South

African volunteers to come give the

ladies of Shiya pedicures for a few

    hours. We structured the Bible

    story around Jesus washing the

    disciples’ feet demonstrating how

we are created to love and serve

others as Christ did. The ladies

loved it as you can see.

    Interns growing

    & sharing

    The interns lead the Bible

    story many times on house

visits. Here is Emily teachingabout the Lord's Supper.

    She taught what each

    element symbolizes and

    how believers should

    practice this sacrament to

    remember all our Savior has

    done. The next two weeks

    afterward, we taught on the

    Passover and enacted the

    ceremony. Then many of

    our Shiya believers took

    part in the Lord's Supper

    (some for the first time).

    The College Girl

Elizabeth accepted the position of Resident

Chaplain next year at Lee Univ. She will help teach

and oversee each floor's Bible study. She will be

the spiritual counsellor for her dorm. She also was

awarded the Hicks Scholarship at Lee. This

scholarship is voted on by the Math dept

professors. They select the freshman students who

have excelled in Math and showed potential for

teaching others. This affords her the chance

to tutor students struggling in math next year. She

is excited about serving in these roles. She enjoyedher Spring break hike in the Mtns and visiting

    Cordele with her suite mates.

    Our Favorite Swimmer

Jacob had a great swim performancefor his house at St. Charles. He broke

school records in the 50 IM and

    Butterfly. He was voted

best Athlete for 15 and under boys

and won Best Junior High Performer.

He did well on his second term grades

    especially Math and Science. He

wants to improve his English next

term (prayer needed here he says-

HA!). He was off for Easter break and

got to go on house visits with us to

Shiya's. He helped pass out the bread

and wine during our Lord's Supper

there and led the closing prayer. He

enjoyed hiking on his Easter break in

    the Mtns too.

Thanks for the flip flops for the people

of Shiya’s. Grove Level sure knows how

    to share their blessings!

    Praise!!

    We finally got our

    South African ID

    books. It is the

    last piece of ourpaperwork here.

     Africa’s Drought

Please keep praying for rain for

South Africa. Water trucks are sent

to the community most days to

    help with the shortage. However,

restrictions on water are driving up

food prices. Our water is turned off

to our homes each evening. Some

    communities are going without

water to their homes for days at a

    time.
