Inflation as at September 2018 was 2.4% under CPI and 3.9% under RPI.
*: Both Income Tax and the GP data which is used for population estimates are adjusted according to a
ghost factor, which was determined by the difference between what was recorded in the 2016 Census
and the two systems. This factor is updated at each census.
Property Price Inflation
For the 12 months to September 2018, the average house price was £273,034 a flat was £148,059 and
the weight property price was £253,630. The weight property price is a weight average of house and
flat prices based on transaction volumes.

been sold.

For the 3 months to September 2018, 44.31 million units of electricity were consumed domestically
and 48.41million were consumed for non-domestic purposes.

jobs. It is also estimated that there were 7,796 self-employed individuals.

Vacancies
Over the quarter to September 2018 there were 1,989 full time vacancies notified to the Job Centre,
and 682 part time vacancies notified.
Movements Onto and Off the Unemployment Register
Over the quarter to September 2018, 406 individuals signed onto the register and 475 signed off,
resulting in a net decrease of -69 individuals over the quarter.

Beef and Sheep Exports
The latest full quarter available data for animal exports is June 2018. During this quarter, 1,006 cattle
were exported, 675 aged sheep and 8,899 sheep aged 6-12 months were exported.
Average Milk Price per Litre
The latest available data for average milk price is June 2018. As at Jun 2018, the average milk price per
litre in the Isle of Man was 27.18 pence, compared with 27.40 pence in the UK and 27.52 in Northern
Ireland.

and £82,617 of Lobster were landed.
