OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP May 12, 2019 - 4th Sunday of Easter “The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 13:52) The disciples heard Our Lord’s call and were able to spread the Gospel message with strength and vitality. We, too, can experience that same joy if we make room for the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts. When we use our gifts in the way that God intends, He fills us with supernatural joy. A joy that others notice and are attracted to.

Please pray for our sick: Joyce Von Rueden, Paul O’Brien, Jean Stopper, Kathy Mueller, Virginia Larson, Barbara Feiner, Jack White, Brad Crist, Valerie Gobrecht, Kim Busch, Liz Barth, Lydia Leahy, Jacob Kobylarczyk, Ellen Boatman, Val Feiner, Ed Blaine, Carson Hartwig, Darcy (McLinn) Williams and Pat Whalen. If you know of someone seriously ill and needs community prayers, please inform Father Joji. When names need to be removed, please call the Parish Center at 776-4059.

R. E. News Grades 1—7 Confirmation

Dear Friends, On this fourth Sunday of Easter we celebrate the feast of Christ, our Good Shepherd who willingly laid down his life for his flock. We celebrate Our Shepherd because he loves and cares for us in all circum-stances. He is willing to lead all who follow and obey him to the spring of eternal life. This is especially to all who humbly and cheerfully embrace Him. God’s salvation is like a free flowing spring. However, only those who are faithful to Him and have washed themselves in the blood of the Lamb could draw life from this spring of life. Hence let us ask God grant us the wisdom and grace to continue to respond obediently to Christ our Good Shepherd.

This Sunday our country celebrates our mothers—and rightly so. For the care and love which our mothers have given us

is beyond price or measure. Of course, our earthly parents are not perfect. Sometimes they are quite far from perfect. But

any love we have known from them is a likeness of the love God has for us. Today, let us thank God for the life, love,

and tender care we have received from our mothers and through Jesus Christ. God bless our mothers and praised be Je-

sus Christ, now and forever, Amen! Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers!
