SPEED SPACE, with its unlimited flexibility, created this1,360 ft. conference room complex using seven sections.Each section was delivered prewired and had its ownfloor and roof system. All SPEED SPACE units have built-in metal weather shields which eliminate

the need for costly mezzanine decking.

SPEED SPACE offices can be delivered three to four weeksfrom time of order. On arrival, your offices are off loadedwith a forklift and set in place.

Our prewired service entrance makes the “hook up” fastand simple. With SPEED SPACE there are no short shipments, lost or damaged cartons, and no expensiveon-site erection problems.

SPEED SPACE manufactures hazardous location structuresfor all your high security and safety needs. From non-combustible and explosion resistant to bullet and blast protection, SPEED SPACE will secure and protect your facility.

Bullet Resistant Structures from levels 1 through 8,SPEED SPACE can meet all your requirements.All bullet resistant products are UL approved and listed.

RAIN AND MOISTURE

All SPEED SPACE buildings are designed for inside or outside use. Galvanized steel roof and underfloor sheathing, doubleinsulated glass windows, vapor barrier and moisture-proofsheathing assures excellent humidity control.

WIND, COLD AND HEAT

Steel siding, structural thermal sheathing, full 3 1/2” insulationand thermal windows guarantee comfortable temperatureseven in the most severe weather.

FIRESteel siding, roof and underfloor sheathing, as well as gypsuminterior, give SPEED SPACE a class “A” flame spread rating onall surfaces. Sprinkler systems and totally non-combustibleunits available.

NOISEStructural sheathing, gypsum interior and thermal windowscreate a decibel drop in the 25-30 decibel range, standardwith windows and doors. Raised floor also reduces sound transmission. For extreme conditions, optional soundcontrol is available (triple-glazed windows, sound board, carpeting, etc.).

DAMAGE

Exterior steel siding with baked finish on both sides (40-year guarantee), structural sheathing, 1/8” industrialfloor tile, heavy duty vinyl interior walls, and a 4” rubber base molding all help to control accidental or deliberate damage.

Doors are heavy-duty with kick plate, lite and closure.

CALCUTTA TAN

1. PERIMETER FRAME: Perimeter tubular 2" x 6"frame members (13 ga.) with structural steel“C” channel 2" x 8" set perpendicular to andinletted into side tubular members. Channelis utilized as forklift slots for handling. Allframe parts are coated with a corrosive resistant (black in color) paint.

2. METAL WEATHER SHIELD: Galvanized steelconstruction. The shield covers the entirefloor assembly and is located between frameand underside of floor joists.

3. FLOOR JOISTS: Joists are nominal 2 x 4 (1 1/2" x 3 1/2" ) spaced in a lateral configura-tion, 12" O.C. Lumber is #2 SPF or better.*

4. FLOOR INSULATION: Fiberglass batt-typeinsulation between floor joists is R-11 andentirely fills any and all voids.

5. FLOOR DECKING: 3/4" thick A.P.A. rated ply-wood is fastened securely to floor joists withglue and ring shank nails (spaced approxi-mately 4" O.C.). All seams are sanded smoothand filled as necessary.

6. FLOOR COVERING: Vinyl composition floortile 1/8" thick 12" x 12" squares are laid on thefloor utilizing waterproof tile adhesive.Pattern full depth of tile.

7. WALL STUDS: Studs are nominal 2 X 4 (11/2" x3 1/2") space 16" O.C. Lumber is S.P.F. studgrade or better. Top plate is nominal 2 X 4 (1 1/2" x 3 1/2") fastened securely to studs.Bottom plate is nominal 2 X 4 (11/2" x 31/2") fastened securely to studs.

8. WALL INSULATION: Fiberglass batt-type insulation between studs is R-11 and entirelyfills any and all voids. Total R-value is R-14with sheathing.

9. INTERIOR WALL COVERING: 1/2" thick gyp-sum board with laminated vinyl covering isfastened to the inside of the studs with widecrown staples and gypsum adhesive; materialhas a class “A” flame spread rating. 4" vinylbase cove.

10. EXTERIOR WALL SHEATHING: Under steelsiding structural sheathing is secured toentire exterior, per manufacturer’s recom-mendations. Sheathing is 1/8" Structural Thermo-Ply.

11. ROOF FRAMING: Rafters are nominal 2 X 4 (1 1/2" x 3 1/2") spaced in lateral configuration16" O.C. Lumber is #2 SPF or better.*

12. INTERIOR CEILING: Ceiling material is 1/2"gypsum with a white stucco pre-finish fas-tened securely to roof rafters with wide

crown staples and screws. Material has a class“A” flame spread rating.

13. ROOF INSULATION: Fiberglass batt-typeinsulation between roof rafters is R-11 andentirely fills any and all voids.

14. EXTERIOR ROOF SHEATHING: The top side of the rafters has 7/16" sheathing fastenedsecurely to roof rafters. Covered completelywith a minimum 4 mil. polyvinyl vapor barrier.

15. ROOF COVERING: 30 ga. galvanized steelconstruction. Roof metal covers entire roofassembly.

16. EXTERIOR SIDING: Galvanized steel siding is29 ga. pre-finished (on both sides) commer-cial type with appropriate top and bottom trimfastened securely to studs. Seven standardcolors are available. 40-year guarantee.

17. WINDOWS: Windows are fixed glass (pic-ture) type, double insulated glazing with vinylextrusion around the perimeter. Windows aresecured in place and sealed with a silicone-based sealant. Glazing is double 1/8". Slidingwindows are optional.

18. EXTERIOR DOORS: Doors are a sandwichtype construction with .019 aluminum on both faces and an interior core of foam andwood perimeter. A welded aluminum extru-

sion surrounds the assembly. This assembly is in turn pre-hung in an aluminum frame equipped with heavy duty metal hinges. Door lite is fixed tempered glass single pane.Heavy duty door closure included.

19. FULL DEPTH FORK POCKETS: All sizes 2 1/2" x8" structural “C” channel (3 1/2" x 7" opening).

20. INTERIOR LIGHT FIXTURES: All light fixturesare 4' - 0" (four foot) T8 twin tube with anacrylic wrap-around type diffuser cover.

21. INTERIOR CEILING HEIGHT: The dimensionfrom the finished floor surface to the finishedceiling surface is 7'-0" (seven foot). 8'optionalwith 2 x 4 wall studs and R-11 insulation. TotalR-value is R-14 with sheathing.

22. ELECTRIC SERVICE PANEL: Prewire serviceentrance panel is equipped with a 60-ampmain breaker, a 15-amp breaker (for lights), a20-amp breaker (for receptacles), and any additional breakers necessary. Entrance conduit is through the exterior wall for ease of hook-up. All electric components U.L. listed and wired to National Electrical Code.Standard service is 240/120V, single phase, 60 cycle.
