Program Description:
The program deals with the generation, transmission, distribution and control of electric energy
systems and related equipment.
This program prepares the students for positions as applied engineers or technologies with the
technical and managerial skills necessary to enter careers in the design, application, installation,
manufacturing, operation and maintenance of power systems.
Students gain strengths in instrumentations, machines and power electronics, control , renewable
energy.
Graduates are well prepared for analysis, applied design, development and implementation of
electrical systems. In addition, students complete the program, which provides the knowledge students
need in leadership, and interpersonal and communication skills.
In addition, students can gain real-world experience through participation in the Co-op / training.

Brief description ELT 305 Advanced Electric Circuits:
This course is designed to give the student a basic knowledge of the electric circuit's analysis in
general. The student has to know how to analyze any electric circuit using the different methods of
analysis. In addition, this course is designed to give the student a basic knowledge of polyphone circuit's
analysis.
ELT 326 Electric Circuits Analysis:
This course is designed to give the student a basic knowledge on electrical technology
ELT 375 Electrical Machines:
The purpose of this course is to give the student a basic knowledge of theory, construction, analysis,
performance, and applications of transformers, synchronous, induction machines and. the most popular
types of small machines.
ELT 376 Electrical Power System Analysis:
The purpose of this course is to give the student a basic knowledge of the power system
representation, calculation of the different kinds of faults, load flow studies and economic operation of
power system.
ELT 377 Industrial Electronics:
This course is designed to give the student a basic knowledge of the Operational amplifier
applications, and specialized linear ICs.
ELT 378 Electric Drives:
This course gives the student a deep understanding of various aspects of different electric drives
behavior for general industrial applications. A graduated student should have the ability to select, operate,
and control electric machine drive.
ELT 475 Automatic Control:
The course includes four main topics in the field of automatic control: Control System
Terminology, Linear Systems and Differential Equations, Frequency Response, and Stability.
ELT 476 Digital Electronics:
This course gives the student a basic knowledge about the number systems, logic gates and their
applications, digital circuit design, arithmetic logic unit, and microcontrollers.
ELT 455 Renewable Energy:
This course is concerned with the sustainable energy and include the following topics:
