mountains!
Ms. Angela Pena Parent & Volunteer
Coordinator
I am taking a term off from classes at
Dartmouth College and wanted to do
something more meaningful than getting a part
time job; so, I applied for funding from
Dartmouth to volunteer full time at a non-profit
organization of my choice. I found the “Q“
online and was immediately drawn to the
holistic approach to improving children's lives
and encouraging them to rise above their
current situation. During the past 7 weeks I
have worked extensively with the VPK
Program, the After School Program, and
recently, the Teen Program. It is very
rewarding to watch the kids learn, whether it is
teaching a 4 year old to sight read the word
"the", or teaching a 4th grader to do triple digit
multiplication. I have helped Ms. Angela
organize the student files and run volunteer
orientations. I love that I have been able to be
involved in so many aspects of this great
organization – Maggie Conners

Our teens enjoy a fun night out with our founder, Mr. Muhammed, as a reward for their hard work on their
academic studies and community service projects.
True Story…
Imagine the QLC teens want to attend a free Ivy League college fair with
the country's leading universities (Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Duke,
etc.) and it is being held in our own backyard, in Naples, FL. Well, they cannot go because we have one van that is running around town picking up our after
school kids. We need your help for a brighter future for our kids! Call James Long today at
239-357-7673.
If you are a great cook and you are
looking for an opportunity to
showcase your cooking skills, we
need your help!
Our teen house is looking for individuals who
will bring in and prepare a wonderful dinner for
our teens. So many times we take eating a
family meal together for granted. Join us in
showing our teens the value of slowing down
and sharing some quality time together over a
meal. For more information please contact
James Long @ 239-357-7673.
The Slap Me Five campaign just got easier. We can now process your payments right over the phone. Just dial our office number at 239-334-2797 and ask to make your Slap Me Five donation. Of course, you can still give online on our website www.qualitylifecenter.org, or by mail at P.O. Drawer 1290, Fort Myers, FL 33902.

Volunteers are the backbone to any good non-profit. We are so blessed to have a core group of people that come to the "Q" each day and give of their time, day in, and day out. We have logged 4,416.50 volunteer hours so far this year and we are on track to surpass last year’s numbers. Together, with our community’s involvement, we can change the world around us one child at a time.

Director of Marketing & Fundraising
