Preliminary Full Task

The difference in my images for my college magazine(Preliminary) and music magazine is massive. The difference clearly represents the Photoshop skills that I have acquired while completing the task. It also shows my understanding of photography and poses. I have learnt that close ups are more personal to the audience and look more impactful.

After my preliminary task I decided that to add an element of individuality to my magazine could have all of the cover lines on one side of the magazine. I think this looks better than them being all over the page because not only does it making it look individual and stand out but it looks tidier and classy.

The image on the left is made up of all of the pieces of the cover that fit in with the colour scheme. This picture on the right is all of the picture, it has a lot of blank space that looks like it does not belong. The picture on the right despite the distortion pulls the colour scheme together better and makes it look more like a front cover. All of the front cover for my Full task ties in with the colour scheme and there is not a big piece of blank space making it look disorganised and messy, or a colour that looks out of place.

I learnt that by putting your mast-head on your contents page there is an instant connection to the rest of the magazine. I also decided to add a lot more text in an orderly form to make the magazine look classier and fuller. By having one main image and other smaller images in the column structure the text is split up and does not look to cluttered.

For my preliminary task I only used one font; a sans serif font But, for my full task I used a range if fonts using bold, italic, serif and sans serif fonts. I believe the variety makes the magazine look more interesting, Even though there is a variety the fonts are fairly similar and look good together so the magazine does not look pain or look disorganised.
