Research• The most common websites I used for researching is google, by typing in

‘indie unsigned bands’ it gave us hundreds of options. For specifically the band for the production of the music video was YouTube and Sound cloud; by doing this we found James Edge; who is the unsigned artist that we used for our music video. By doing this it allowed us to narrow down to the indie group that we wanted to use for our production. For print productions I used sites such as Amazon to get an idea of the typical conventions of the album artworks. Amazon also gives a ‘also bought’ which helped with finding what other artists that my target audiences would be listening to.

Planning

• For all our planning we used the website Blogger to post all our updated research/planning for our productions. By doing this it allowed us to all be organised whilst being able to add to posts as we went along to improve on our grades. With the use of emails it also allowed us to message the said band in order to ask for permission to use the track, however we could have used sites such as Facebook as well to contact them.

Music Video – Construction

• For the construction of our music video we used Rose’s camera which was a Cannon 600D. With a HD camera it allowed us to get a focused image in order to capture the scenery and beauty of Cambridge and Cromer. However, as we did not have a working Tripod, it meant we had to use free hand, making some of the shots noticeably wobbly, however as the locations were at a distance we could not travel back in order to reshoot. By the camera not being too big it was easy to transfer between locations, and meant that everyone in the group had a go at filming the production not just the owner.

Music Video – Post Production

• For our music video we used to programme Adobe Premiere Pro, this was to construct our music video to create the slick editing in our production. By using specific features such as split screen and mirror effect. We also had to use the website ‘YouTube converter’ on order to download the audio to be able to link the sound with the clips. With our music video we created a double layered image, whilst doing this we also changed the colours in order to create a slight difference, mainly to portray a different location by using these settings.

Print Productions

• For my print productions I used a programme called Adobe Photoshop. This was a challenge for me as I hadn’t used it in full lengths without help. However, with the help of other class mates I was able to pick up the basics; all of my panels were similar in settings, for example I changed the colouration in order to make it more bright to attract attention.

Feedback

• For my remote method to gain feedback I used the site Survey Monkey to create a short questionnaire in order for audiences to respond and answer quickly. By doing this I posted on my social media page Facebook along with the print production panels. By doing this it allowed me to quickly gain results without it having to take a while for audiences to fill in which may have persuaded them not to do so.

Evaluations

• For my evaluations I have used many different ways of presentation; Slide share, Prezi, Video presentation by filming on my own camera and uploaded to YouTube and finally the use of voice clips which I created by Sound cloud. By doing this it creates a variety of presenting a lot of work, it also allows it to be less boring and hard heavy reading. It similarly lets me experiment with different creativity and use of the media that can be accessible in these times.
