TORONTO - Toronto Real Estate Board President Larry Cerquaannounced that the total amount of leased space repor ted throughTREB's MLS® System in the third quar ter of 2016 was up substan-tially on a year-over-year basis. There was a combined 6,592,818square feet of industrial, commercial/retail and office space leased- up 34.8 per cent compared to the third quar ter of 2015. It isimpor tant to note that the Q3 2015 results did represent a substan-tial dip compared to the same period in 2014.More than three quar ters of total space leased in Q3 2016 was inthe industrial market segment. The average industrial lease rate onper square foot net basis, for transactions with pricing disclosed,was up by 8.8 per cent to $5.80 compared to $5.33 in Q3 2015. Theaverage commercial lease rate was down on a year-over-yearbasis, while the office lease rate was up compared to last year."The Canadian economy over the last year has been marked byregional differences. The Greater Toronto Area has benefited from adiverse economic base and, as a result, the regional economy has

been relatively strong with the unemployment rate generallytrending lower. This may be why we experienced an uptick inleasing activity. However, there remains some uncer tainty inthe economic outlook, especially as it relates to expor ts, andthis could impact commercial leasing and sales activitymoving forward," said Cerqua.The number of combined industrial, commercial/retail andoffice proper ty transactions was down in Q3 2016 compared toa year earlier, with 216 proper ties changing hands versus 327proper ties in Q3 2015. While the number of sales were downyear-over-year, average selling prices on a per square footbasis, for transactions where pricing was disclosed, provedresilient. Average selling prices were up for all three majormarket segments. The large increase in the office proper tyaverage price was largely due to a shift in the size and locationof proper ties sold this year compared to last, with some largerproper ties changing hands in Toronto's central core.

The twin-turbocharged AcuraNSX GT3 was photographed with exposed, lightweight, carbon fiberbodywork at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, MI as part of itscontinued development at circuits throughout the U.S. The vehicle isslated for homologation as an FIA GT3 class racecar this fall. "Build-ing on the very solid foundation of the production NSX, we're makingsteady progress in our development and looking forward to cam-paigning the GT3 racecar next year," said Ar t St. Cyr, president ofHonda Performance Development. The Acura NSX GT3 racecar fea-tures custom bodywork and aero components including a large deckwing spoiler, underbody diffuser and enlarged hood vents for efficientengine cooling. The NSX GT3 racecar is powered by a 3.5-liter, 75-degree, twin turbocharged DOHC V-6 engine using the same designspecifications as the engine in the production 2017 Acura NSX, in-cluding the block, heads, valvetrain, crankshaft, pistons and dry sumplubrication system. The engine is paired with a 6-speed, sequential-shift racing gearbox, delivering power to the rear wheels.
