• Throughout the project receiving audience feedback has been extremely helpful in the production of my media products. It was extra important that we got relevant feedback from samples of our target audience which we established in the very early stages of the project when we created our audience brief which very specifically helped us interpret the types of people that would enjoy our music.

• We collected the feedback in a number of different ways firstly and in my opinion the most beneficial way was by doing screenings of our video to different people who fitted our target demographic. This feedback allowed us to be praised on our successful parts of the video but also receive constructive criticism on certain aspects in the video that may need altering and improving.

• When receiving this feedback the audiences really liked how we had a mix of a narrative but also a band performance within the video they all agreed that by us showing the band performing it has portrayed the genre very well and has shown how we interpreted the genre correctly as a group. The black and white theme also received a good recognition and was seen as a success as the audiences felt that as the narrative side of the video was a fight scene the black and white helped give it the dark edgy feel which it needed , the audiences also liked the black and white as they stated that many other videos in this genre also feature black and white which shows how we researched very effectively and applied it correctly.

• Some constructive criticism that we received was that a few of our shots came out a bit dark due to the time of day to which we was shooting therefore we was asked if the contrast could be raised so that the images were of a better quality when edited into the final piece we all agreed and therefore decided to alter these so that the video looks as professional as possible.

In the early stages of our project we used ‘survey monkey’ to create a survey and to get some feedback about the image of the band and also about the song and for the audience to reply and give ideas and feedback about what they could suggest for us to put in our video. This helped us as it allowed us to take feedback on board and apply it to our video for example we asked what comes to mind when listening to the song and most of the results said an action/fight scene therefore we took it in to consideration and applied it to our final piece.

During the project we decided to post a ‘1st draft’ onto many social networking sites such as Facebook , Twitter and YouTube hoping for as many responses as possible from the general public and also friends this again came in very useful as it allowed us to see what many people thought of our idea. From this feedback lots of people recognised the ‘Rocky III’ reference and thought that it was very easily recognisable and portrayed very cleverly.

Again receiving audiencefeedback really helped me when I was designing my advert for my Digipak. Once we had all created a ‘1st draft’ of a poster we would screen it to class members and also target audiences to get opinions on what they thought and what they liked about what we had created. On the right is my 1st draft when I screened this poster I had

really positive comments about the photo as they liked how a key landmark had been incorporated in to one of the photos to reflect the bands background , they also liked how the red writing was used to make the more important information stand out. The constructive criticism that I received was that there was still a lot of space that was not being used therefore on my final piece I decided to make the fonts more larger so that there was less space and that the text was now more condensed. I was also advised to included a social networking link onto my poster as that was a key trait throughout existing Digipak adverts.
