Dear TIGI® NaTIoN,

I know for some of you it has been a long, very cold winter and you have been anxiously awaiting spring. No matter what your winter, spring brings with it growth, vacation, holiday celebrations, longer days, colour and warmth.

To kick off spring, we’ve made our first two stops on the 2015 US TIGI® copyright©olour™ Tour in NAPA Valley and Fresno, California. Anthony, Christel Lundqvist and Akos Bodi joined us from the UK to introduce new creative colourists to the TIGI® family and share our vision for the future. Our very own NYC Academy team of Richy Kandasamy, Reneé Valerie and Christopher Catanese wowed audiences as well with their fashion forward techniques, quick wit and genuine love of what they do. Thank you to all who joined us and a special shout out to the Michael Blunt Salon in Fresno for a truly memorable evening, enjoyed by all. To help usher in spring and eventually summer, we are thrilled to introduce our Special Edition Summer Collection from Bed Head®. With a Cleans-ing Jelly Shampoo, Mellow After-Sun Conditioner, Detangling Spray and Protection Spray for coloured hair, we have the perfect products to care for hair when hitting the beach or pool to help minimize the damages of sun, surf and chlorine. The TIGI® team has also been very busy creating an inspiring, fun and educational experience for you at our 2015 World Release. Anthony, Thomas and the team can’t wait to bring the show back to Vegas and are thrilled to now have two full days to share our inspiration with you. TIGI® hairdressers from all over the world will come together as we unveil the 2016 Collection, launch an innovative and unique addition to Bed Head®, learn Anthony’s tips and tricks for mastering the perfect image and so much more. Colour Trend Report“Spring 2015 brings more of an emphasis to the cooler, softer side of the colour spectrum. As our clients’ skin complexions get warmer during Spring and Summer we tend to cool down their hair to create more of a harmonious balance. Pale pastel tones like Smoky Lavender and iridescent Violets are going to be the more dominant shades and tend to be quite flattering on most skin tones. Grapefruit extract is a source of Vitamin C, while Sunflower Seed oil is a great source of Vitamin E.

Protects hair from heat up to 445°F. Stops hair strands from getting as hot in the first place, helping make hair cool down faster too.

•01. create a parting following the haircut and natural fall of the hair.

•05. from the second slice, apply formula 1 from the new growth area through to the mid-lengths. with a freehand blending technique apply formula 2 to the lengths and ends. isolate each slice using tigi® copyright©olour™ meche strips. repeat on the opposite side.

•09. within the fringe area, take 1/2 inch slices applying formula 1 from the new growth area through to the mid-lengths and ends.

•02. begin by creating a large circular section 1 inch back from the hairline, incorporating the low crown. subdivide in to 4 equal sections and secure using tigi®pro sectioning clips

•06. progressing into the two sections at the crown, apply formula 1 from the new growth area through to the mid-lengths and ends. continue until the sections are complete and isolate using a tigi® copyright©olour™ meche strips.

•10. process the colour visually for up to 20 minutes, then emulsify, rinse and remove using bed head® by tigi® urban antidotes™ re-energize™ shampoo and conditioner.

•03. take a radial parting from the top of the ear towards the circular section on either side of the head. secure all remaining hair with tigi®pro sectioning clips.

•07. working into the radial section, take horizontal slices and apply formula 1 to the new growth area, then apply formula 2 through to the mid-lengths and ends. isolate using a tigi® copyright©olour™ meche strips. repeat the same technique to the opposite side.

•04. put on protective gloves. starting the application at the nape, take a diagonal slice and apply formula 1 from the new growth area through to the mid-lengths and ends. isolate using a tigi® copyright©olour™ meche strips.

InspIraTIon: mara hoffman’s autumn/winter 2015 collection is inspired by the ‘spirit of europe’s wild

men’ and none other than luke skywalker. acting as the glue to connect the earth to the sky, this

spirit assumes a dual personality - crossing the line between human and animal and civilization to

wilderness. to complete her jedi-inspired collection, hoffman teamed up the catwalk® by tigi® us

creative director thomas osborn to create intergalactic warrior tresses for the runway.

How-To:

• prep the hair with CaTwaLk® by TIgI® bodIFyIng spray and create a clean, center part from hairline

to nape, securing hair in two low ponytails (for the time being)

• use a paddle brush and a bit of CaTwaLk® by TIgI® sEssIon sErIEs™ work IT HaIrspray to smooth hair

and set the severity of the part

• using pins, secure one extra-long, pre-made braid (using extensions) just behind the ear and cross

over the crown. repeat with a second pre-made braid in the opposite direction, crossing over the

other braid to make an “x” on the top of the head

• next, remove elastics from ponytails and begin braiding the ends of the braids into each pony,

using a 3-strand technique and incorporating wefts of hair into the braid as

you go to add length. secure each side with an elastic, leaving a

significant amount of unbraided hair below the elastic

• secure the two braids together, taking care to hide the pins and create

the illusion of intertwined braids

• use fingers to pull on pieces of the braid to create an undone texture

Men’S FoCuS - $950This 2 day course is designed to give students insight into the latest cutting techniques and current trends for today’s modern man. With a focus on salon viable techniques, students will learn the essentials of men’s hair cutting. Emphasis is placed on scissor over comb, clipper cutting, texturizing, thinning scissor, razor cutting and all the styling and finishing techniques used in men’s grooming. Student’s will experience demonstrations on live models of varying lengths and textures followed by hands-on workshops on male mannequin heads. 2 DAY COURSE

Creative ConSultation 1.0 - $950This Creative Consultation course has a totally original and individual approach to growing your colour business through creative thinking and fashion knowledge. As a result you can work creatively while also providing opportunities to up-sell colour and build client loyalty. TIGI®’s unique concept of creatively blending hair analysis and identifying fashion tribes provides descriptive language and explains in-depth complexion analysis to upgrade customer service and give clients a highly personal salon experience. Gain knowledge in how to best communicate with clientele in a creative way that will lead to up-sell of colour, client loyalty and a chance to work creatively every day. 2 DAY COURSE

tiGi® ClaSSiC CuttinG - $1450The first stop for TIGI® Education as it is the foundation and backbone of our education. This course focuses on the technical side of hairdressing and is perfect for the hairdresser seeking discipline and technique in the classic cutting (i.e. one length, graduation, and layering). This methodology will challenge the advanced hairdresser and will provide a foundation of technique for the true beginner. 4 DAY COURSE

tiGi® ClaSSiC Colour - $1450The first stop for TIGI® Education as it is the foundation and backbone of our education. Graduation SkillS - $1100Continuing with foundation education, this is our most technical course as emphasis is placed on technique with a focus on precision and balance to simplify the concept of graduation. After completion of Classics Cutting, Graduation Skills is recommended as the next step to the hairdresser’s educational plan. This course is perfect for the beginning hairdresser needing foundation technique to the advanced hairdresser simply wanting more discipline and control in their everyday work. 3 DAY COURSE

Colour CorreCtion - $650Every technical service should be viewed as a colour correction. In any colour service, we do three things; we darken, we lighten and we work tone on tone. This course will build confidence in basic and advanced colour correction skills with a focus on how to resolve problems with both basic and creative solutions. 2 DAY COURSE

SPotliGHt CourSeSWitH MitCHel WilSon and roBert BanyaGa Creative CuttinG and Colour - $1050This course, previously called Advanced Cut and Colour, is for the experienced hairdresser seeking out the latest trends and concepts in cut and colour. With an emphasis on the newest collection, the team will focus on a progression of ideas that help students develop a vision ranging from the extreme to the commercial. 2 DAY COURSE

tranSition CuttinG and Colour - $1150Formerly known as Progressions, this is an excellent course geared toward the salon hairdresser. The progression from basic to advanced starts here with an emphasis on combining technical and visual to perfect salon-viable work. Techniques in both cut and colour with a focus in personalizing, texturizing, and colour placement will provide the skills it takes to conquer anything behind the chair. 3 DAY COURSE
