Pyxis has set its compass—bringing the Roadshow to the following cities:

Atlanta – April 17, 2018Marriott Northwest at Galleria

Minneapolis – April 19, 2018Minneapolis Airport Marriott

Los Angeles – April 24, 2018Los Angeles Airport Marriott

Washington, DC – April 26, 2018Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria

Join Us for the Pyxis Roadshow!Pyxis will be introducing itself across the United States, offering this all-day workshop for IT Professionals, where in a facilitated setting we will begin to develop a “Decoder Ring” for the entire industry.

What is a “Decoder Ring”? It is a navigation tool to help you navigate the endless ocean of best practices and technology to achieve maximum value for your career and your organization. The ecosystem we work in has become incredibly complex with new technology, vendors, best practices, and professional associations being launched all the time.

In these changing times, it is difficult to understand where you should focus your time. What should you learn? How does it all fit together? The “Decoder Ring” will provide valuable insight into navigating these rocky waters to chart a course for success.

During the four city Roadshow Tour, the facilitators will keep building on the collective work and wisdom of workshop participants. Following the completion of the Roadshow Tour, the final “Decoder Ring” product will be published and presented to each participant—so you can take this work of which you were a part of—and chart your course for career success!

A one day facilitated workshop to create a “decoder ring” for the IT ecosystem—with a network reception and final product release for all participants.

Special thanks to VeriSM for its support!

What is Pyxis?Pyxis is an United States-based not-for-profit professional association that will bring IT industry and other related business functions together to advance careers, standards, and performance through leadership, networking, education, training and innovation. As a professional association, Pyxis focuses on maximizing the value of best practices through the integration of best practices, capabilities, and disciplines.

Pyxis takes its name from a constellation in the southern sky. Abbreviated from Pyxis Nautica, its name is Latin for a mariner’s compass. The Board of Directors thought it was very appropriate to choose this symbol as the new association’s logo—as Pyxis will be charting a new course for IT.

The four points of the Pyxis compass are critical areas that must be seamlessly integrated to maximize the value of technology:

Agile Practice

Business Acumen

Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Other Emerging Practices

Service Management

With organizations heavily relying on technology and so much changing in the industry, Pyxis seeks to be a catalyst for conversation about the change needed to reach a new tipping point so the dynamics of the IT evolution can be better understood, promoted, and shared among IT organizations, business functions, professional associations, and the industry as a whole.

With rapid growth and advancements in best practices in the service management sector, there is a clear need for a professional association that focuses on helping professionals build their business acumen, as well as understand how to integrate best practices to maximize the value of the various frameworks and standards for the business.

Pyxis Membership Benefits:

• Quarterly access to free and deeply-discounted virtual training sessions (live and recorded)

• Being part of an exciting new venture that is going to unify IT.

Reaction to Pyxis and its work is coming in:

A new member offers: “I became a member of Pyxis because of their focus on understanding business and applying business skills to IT. They are going to spark a fundamental shift in how the industry thinks about providing IT services. I want to be a part of that conversation as it is long overdue. Best practices play a role but the business conversation and business skills are the most important aspect of being successful when I work with my business partners.”

Another new member built this business case: “I have a genuine interest in the industry knowledge of how IT frameworks are being integrated and see this as ongoing dialogue between the architecture, agile practices, and support of the IT offerings.”

Become a part of Pyxis today!
