EXT. UNDERTAKER SIDE OF TRAIN - DAWN

The train begins to slow down as the UNDERTAKER peers gloomily from outside the window of one of the train's carriages. In the distance the next stop approaches. It has a DULL, STAGNANT and GRIM atmosphere to it.

EXT. CLOWN SIDE OF TRAIN - DAWN

The same train is seen from the other side. It is much more colourful, bright and playful than the UNDERTAKER's side.

A bright train station approaches. Friendly faces appear. The CLOWN smiles as the Train gets closer towards the two stations.

EXT. UNDERTAKER SIDE OF TRAIN - ""

UNDERTAKER briskly opens the train door; everything is done in silence and with utmost care. Nobody seems to want to look up or say much at all. A Coffin is moved into the Train.

On the other side, CLOWN warmly welcomes several people onboard. Noise and fanfare pursue.

INT. HALL OF TRAIN - MOMENTS LATER

CLOWN & UNDERTAKER stand in-front of one another.

UNDERTAKER has a moody expression.

CLOWN has a joyous expression.

Inside the train is a hallway of upholstered doors, polished dark-wood floors, and ceilings with dainty oil lamps. It has no preference for the CLOWN or UNDERTAKER.

UNDERTAKER

UNDERTAKER hastily walks past CLOWN impatiently and the sound of party-goers in the CLOWN's carriages are heard O.S

(He sighs.)

CLOWN(Unicycle sound whirrs with beeps)

CLOWN happily goes and sees how his carriage guests are doing. He continuously goes in and out of the hallway whilst UNDERTAKER sticks mainly to being inside his own carriages.

INT. UNDERTAKER SIDE OF TRAIN, CARRIAGE 1. - MOMENTS LATER

UNDERTAKER(Trying to focus-out CLOWN)

Grabbing his toolbelt of embalming equiptment, mostly comprised of sharp tools and brushes UNDERTAKER puts it on and begins to work on the dead member inside an open coffin in the centre of the small cabin.

SFX: Beeps and fanfare from CLOWN.

UNDERTAKER loses concentration and abruptly opens the carriage door with his head peering out towards CLOWN

CLOWN is entertaining people and doesn't seem to stop moving on his UNICYCLE.

CLOWN(Beaming with delight at UNDERTAKER's face)

The beep noises are heard again to resonate that they are coming from CLOWN and his UNICYCLE.

UNDERTAKER(Glumly looking at the UNICYCLE)

UNDERTAKER goes back into his carriage, embalming tool still in hand. It is a thicker than normal needle. Brought to UNDERTAKER's attention he gets an idea.

INT. HALL OF TRAIN - CONTINUOUS

CLOWN is back in one of his own carriages.

UNDERTAKER litters the hallway with thick needles.

Floor is covered in several needles, though they are dark and only just visible. UNDERTAKER goes back into his carriage and hides behind the left-hand side of the door.

As CLOWN comes out of from the Carriage on the other side his unicycle runs over the needles.

THE UNICYCLE IS PUNCTURED and loses air in it. Whilst he does not fall over CLOWN is stopped in his tracks.

Regardless that his UNICYCLE has been punctured CLOWN goes back into his carriage and leaves the punctured UNICYCLE outside against the wall.

The Train has had a smooth ride up until now. It drives itself from point A to point B quite easily so long as there are no problems.

UNDERTAKER comes out from his carriage and takes the unicycle.

Now that it's broken, CLOWN has no use for it - so he would think and thus heads up to the front of the train.

Stares at the punctured Unicycle. It is clear that it matches CLOWN perfectly.

INT. HALL OF TRAIN (FURTHER DOWN) - DAY

As UNDERTAKER walks down the Train's Hall, carriages on the right side are full with cheerful people. UNDERTAKER doesn't take much notice.

He opens one of the Train's doors and throws the UNICYCLE out.

It flies behind the train but hits the floor.

It gets stuck underneath the train.

For safety precaution the train comes to a halt.

SFX: Train tracks/wheel "scream"

EXT. DESERT PLAINS - DAY

UNDERTAKER looks down the hallway of the Train. No CLOWN in sight.

He jumps down from the open Train door and runs towards the crushed UNICYCLE under the Train's wheels.

It is crushed.

UNDERTAKER looks displeased and disconvenienced.

Tools are taken out from his belt to try and break the UNICYCLE away from the Train.

The frame is bent, wheel punctured and trapped half way between the connecting bar of the Train's wheelset.

Attempts to use tools to break away the UNICYCLE

The tools break and regardless of UNDERTAKER's abilities with organic things he is rendered useless in this

situation.

CLOWN comes out from the other end of the Train.

Walks daintily towards UNDERTAKER & the crushed UNICYCLE

UNDERTAKER(Guilty look on his face and makes no eye contact)

CLOWN(Looks both down at the UNICYCLE and then at UNDERTAKER)

A moment of silence.

UNDERTAKER looks guilty.

CLOWN however does not seem too upset by this and crouches down at the same level as UNDERTAKER. From his sleeves he pulls out a unique looking large file, coloured to suit CLOWN himself. CLOWN cannot pick it up himself, though as he is much weaker than UNDERTAKER.

UNDERTAKER(Up until this point has been looking vaguely over in CLOWN's direction with his coat up in his face.)

Seeing CLOWN struggle to lift the overly sized file, UNDERTAKER feels he should help. - Not without some embarrassment or reluctance in his face. It is much easier for UNDERTAKER to lift even though it is noticeably heavier than any normal file.

He cuts through the UNICYCLE.

CLOWN does not seem to mind, yet again. He stares happily at UNDERTAKER.

As the UNICYCLE is set free from the Train it is clear that it is un-usable. UNDERTAKER guiltily stares at the UNICYCLE once more for a few moments.

The broken tools of UNDERTAKER as picked up by CLOWN one by one in silence and he puts them up his sleeves. UNDERTAKER looks confused. From CLOWN's sleeves come brand new fixed tools, the only difference being their colouring. Under the brown rust are slight fragments of green, orange and yellow.

Utter surprise comes from UNDERTAKER in response. CLOWN just

smiles.

INT. UNDERTAKER SIDE OF TRAIN, CARRIAGE 1 - SUNSET

CLOWN & UNDERTAKER have made resolve, with CLOWN helping UNDERTAKER do his job. UNDERTAKER holds the new, CLOWN coloured tools.

SFX: Guests are heard partying in the other carriages.

CLOWN goes out of UNDERTAKER's carriage.

UNDERTAKER sorts through his tools neatly around the, still, open coffin. He is not frowning.

The carriage door opens, CLOWN cycles back in on a new UNICYCLE, seemingly the exact same as before beaming with delight. UNDERTAKER is shocked. CLOWN had another all along. He cycles around the open coffin and puts a party hat on the dead member before looking back at UNDERTAKER in oblivious happiness once more. A look of disturbed amusement comes over UNDERTAKER.

He walks over to the coffin and closes the lid with a smile.

These two scenes HAVE to act in conjunction with eachother in order to properly make it obvious that the CLOWN & UNDERTAKER are opposites.Ella Pinnington Feb 17, 2015 3:55 PM
