• Know your skill level before you go hiking alone and go to www.virginiaoutdoors.com or the Park Information Center for virtual tours of trails and to print maps.

• Maps are available at our electronic information stations and at the park office.

• Parents, take responsibility for your children’s safety. Enjoy the park experience with your child, and at the same time, help us to get them back home safely.

• Take only pictures and leave only footprints so future generations can enjoy the beauty of Virginia State Parks.

• Don’t rely on a cell phone for help.

• Please use only local firewood to avoid introducing destructive insects into our forests.

• For a complete list of regulations, stop in at the park office, or visit one of our information stations.
