Proposed Kanakapura Road Widening• In order to ease traffic along the stretch, NHAI has proposed
to widen the 60ft wide Kanakapura road to a 150ft wide four
lane road
• NHAI has issued preliminary notification for land acquisition
for the road widening activity in April 2012. Road widening will
begin from the NICE road interchange and will end at
Kanakapura.
• Road widening will substantially ease traffic – positively

• NICE Road was built with the objective of developing a high-
speed express corridor between Bangalore and Mysore.
• NICE Road interchange on Kanakapura Road provides
