PurposeThis presentation is for pre-k through 2nd grade students. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce students to the Dewey Decimal Classification and to ask the media specialist questions about locating information.A review of each book can be read by clicking on the picture of the book. Georgia Performance Standards will also be addressed.

Father of the Dewey Decimal Classification
By grouping books of similar subjects, Dewey was able to organize and keep track of his books and know exactly where to find each book again using the Dewey Decimal system.
