En nuestro Colegio, el día a día, está lleno de momentos significativos que favorecen en

nuestros niños y jóvenes el disfrute y la posibilidad de aprender constantemente.

Queremos en este Jadashot, compartir con ustedes las imágenes de eventos que nos

unieron alrededor de valores culturales, democráticos, ambientales, familiares, literarios

e intelectuales que dan sentido y conectan el aprendizaje con la vida.

Quiero invitar muy especialmente a todos los padres de familia, a vincularse al proyecto

“Maestros por un día”, de manera que compartan un rato con sus hijos en el aula de

clase. Muchas gracias a aquellos que han participado.

TU BISHVAT EN NUESTRO COLEGIO

CONCURSO DEL CUENTO

Los estudiantes de cada curso sembraron un árbol

para demostrar su amor por el medio ambiente. Una

vez más seguimos sembrando ese espíritu de

conservar nuestro medio ambiente limpio y

perdurable.

El 9 de febrero celebramos Tu BIshvat el año nuevo de los

árboles. El Rabino Gershon Zwitman explicó a los estudiantes

el significado de la festividad; Yadid Danai, agrónomo israelí,

les contó a los niños la experiencia en Israel; y Margarita

Vallejo, jefe del área de Ciencias Naturales les mostró a los

mayores la importancia de cuidar y preservar nuestro

medio.

Cada grado sembró un árbol y luego compartimos frutos.

Este año, con el área de lengua Castellana, se

organizó un concurso de cuento sobre la

naturaleza, del cual se premiaron 4

categorías:

- De Primero y Segundo fue elegido el

cuento de Tomás Restrepo de 2º.

- De Tercero, Cuarto y Quinto, el

elegido fue Martín Guzmán de 3º.

- De Sexto, Séptimo y Octavo, el

cuento de Elisa Mejía ( 8º) fue el mejor

- De Noveno, Décimo y Once se eligió

el de Manuela Ballen de 10º.

Cada uno fue premiado con una mención y

un libro.

Esta celebración fue toda una experiencia

para compartir, que integra las áreas del

conocimiento y despierta la creatividad y el sentido de responsabilidad frente al mundo en

que vivimos, basados en principios

universales.

El nuevo Personero de los estudiantes del Colegio

Theodoro Hertzl es:

Y nuestros niños de preescolar se preparan

para su proyecto “Aprendiendo a Gobernar”,

donde elegirán presidente y ministros.

GOBIERNO ESCOLAR

Al estilo de las campañas de candidatos a la

presidencia de cualquier país del mundo,

nuestros dos candidatos a personero estudiantil,

Sebastián Velásquez, de 10º y David Ostrovsky,

de 11º, plantearon sus campañas y realizaron un

excelente debate frente a todos los estudiantes.

Igualmente, los candidatos a representantes de

cada grado, plantearon sus metas y objetivos a

sus compañeros, para hacer parte del Gobierno

Escolar.

El miércoles 18 de febrero, comenzando con un

acto cívico preparado por los niños de Primero y

Segundo, se dio inicio a la jornada de elección

del Gobierno Escolar de nuestro Colegio.

MAESTROS POR UN DÍA

Inició con mucha alegría y éxito el proyecto “Padres, maestros por un día” en el grado Primero.

Las primeras invitadas fueron las señoras Adelaida Martínez y Mónica Maya, quienes realizaron

con los niños actividades de pintura en camisetas y pintura en cerámica respectivamente.

- “Nos gusta mucho lo que nos enseñan los papás y mamás”. “Es Divertido”.

- “¿Profe, Cuándo le toca a mi mamá?” Estas fueron las expresiones más comunes desde que este proyecto comenzó.

JADASHOT IN ENGLISH – MINIPROJECTS

English Miniprojects have been considered as the best

ones ever held. Little kids, boys, girls, teenagers and

grown- ups really enjoyed the plays, the presentations

and the great preparation of the guys. Parents

highlighted with their attendance and commitment to

the school. It was definitely a well – done job.

Congratulations and thanks for making our English Area

stronger every time. We’re looking forward to improving

each more time and showing all our best ideas.

In preschool… for the first time all the students of

preschool worked together, Dinosaurs for them was

a great topic, they learned songs, riddles and had

fun doing crafts. The banner made at home was full

of joy and a big motivation. As a result, they tend to

learn more and remember it longer.

In First and Second grade, little guys displayed their work about different types of houses, showing scale

models, elaborated with recycling material, as well as presenting a small description, a song and riddles. They

felt very happy with their results. We also thank Restrepo Quiñones family for donating a banner; it was beautiful

and very useful.

THIRD FOURTH

In Third and Fourth grade, the

former performed the first part of

this celebration when Pilgrims left

England, they wore costumes and

learnt their scripts to role-play the

journey from England to Holland.

The latter had a play, in which the

Pilgrims found friendly Indians in

America. They also performed with

willingness and joy their

presentations.

In Fifth grade, the group reached their goal, even

though they struggled with the acting, the play

represented everything they wanted to. These boys and

girls successfully explained the battle and the Persians

and Spartans lifestyles.

In Sixth grade, the class was divided into 4 different groups: the

Hippies, Vietnam War, and Military Development during the war and

the Man on the Moon. Each group researched their topics and was

able to talk freely about them. They used diverse material to explain

their information.

In Seventh grade, students

developed a series of topics

related to modern popular foods

and multinationals which

commercialize them. The work

done with the materials was

quite good and showed

commitment and parents’

involvement.

the conflicts that world

In Eighth grade, they struggled hard

to obtain their goals. They worked

with enthusiasm and complete

dedication on this project, by using

posters, computers and special

sound from “Alexander the Great”

movie. Also, two students portrayed

Cleopatra`s life in an accurate way.

Posters, an Egyptian rug, mini

pyramids and a colorful bust were

among the relevant objects in their

stand.

In Ninth grade, Chernobyl was the star. Teenagers were really

committed to the subject and the school by giving their best in

each of the stands. Mini models, games and cakes for the

audience became the target of the presenters.

Tenth grade surprised everybody by decorating our school

auditorium in a magic, black and suspenseful atmosphere.

ALL guys did awesome, and once again their huge potential

and motivation were shown there. Our most sincere claps

for the activity held.

Eleventh grade was marveled with the greatest wars by

supplying enough information to the public and by bringing

real stuff pertaining to this. Their English level is accurate

and proficient to the activities school organizes for

improving their level.

En el mes de abril se realizaron las Macabiadas en la ciudad de Cali, con la asistencia de 57 estudiantes y 10

familias acompañantes, esta delegación se destacó por su entusiasmo, espíritu competitivo y por dejar en

cada espacio una huella de respeto y unión Theodorista.

Por el compromiso de jugadores, entrenadores y delegados, este año se obtuvo el mayor número de

medallas.
