Intent It is important that our children know their roots and the history of their City. We will look at the geographical and
historical features of Hull and the local area.
Based on pupil’s prior learning about Hull, they will build on knowledge and skills to explore Britain. Their locational and chronological knowledge will widen. Children will have an
awareness of how significant historical events have shaped the country they live in.
Pupils will use their skills and understanding from what they have learned about the country they live in and apply this to other influential countries and pioneers around the world.
