pundit: a novel semantic web annotation tool
DESCRIPTION
http://thepund.it/ Pundit è un generico tool web-based di annotazione semantica, in grado di operare su diverse entità a qualsiasi livello di granularità: intere pagine web o parti specifiche (paragrafi ma anche singole parole), immagini o parti di esse (con forma arbitraria e disegnata dall’utente). L’obiettivo di Pundit è quello di arricchire il Web Of Data, correlando concetti, creando nuova conoscenza strutturata semanticamente, visualizzata in modalità innovative e stimolanti. Pundit infatti attinge da diversi Linked Data providers, per far sì che l’utente possa utilizzare concetti provenienti da molteplici fonti, anche creando mash-up di elementi, per esprimere la semantica delle proprie annotazioni. Permette di condividere le annotazioni ed esporle a loro volta come Linked Open Data tramite API pubblicamente accessibili, grazie alle quali è possibile sviluppare qualsiasi genere di visualizzazione ad-hoc. Net7 ha contribuito allo sviluppo di Pundit nell'ambito del Progetto Europeo Semlib (Semantic Tools for Digital Libraries), supportato dall’EU FP7 Theme: Research for SMEs (no.
