DESIGN FOR CHANGE• About us: Panchyat Union Middle School, Eappakkam

is a Government School. It was established in 1946 as a Private management school. And it was handed over to Government in 1974. It was upgraded as a Middle School in 2000.

• Geographical Location: Eappakkam village is located at a distance 55 kms from District Headquarters Villupuram, 15 kms from Taluk Headquarters Tindivanam,26 kms from Block Headquarters Olakkur @ Saram.

• Cultural Background: Eappakkam village is remote village. Major population belongs to OBC and SC category. Agriculture is the source of main income.

We feelThe drainage pipe of the water tank was damaged. The waste water flowing on the ground and entrance of the gate.The waste water from the drinking water spoil the environment of the school campus.It affect the school environment and students.

We thinkWe discus the problem and how do solve the problemPROBLEMOver flowing of Waste water casus of ingress of mosquito s , it spoil the environment.SOLUTIONSReduce the consume of water and avoid overflowing waste water.Less open of the tap reduce the consume of water.Advice our friends to less open of the tap.Cleanup the drainage pit and correct overflowing waste water to the pit.
