“As this emblem is first in our hearts as loyal Americans, so it is close to our altar as loyal Elks”
December 2015
Well it’s December all ready. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Let’s all remember this is the time of year for giving. The Christmas baskets are doing well thanks to Linda. But I’m sure she could use more donations or we could help her with her Raffle. Let’s remember the more money she raises the better the baskets are so let’s all pitch in and make some ones Christmas dinner “ Fantastic”! Also let’s not forget our veterans on these holidays. Our Lodge will hold our memorial service on December 6th let’s all show up to support our lost “Brothers and Sisters”.
Let’s also remember that a new year is coming. If we could, let’s all band together and promise each other to make next year a better year than this one ( Even though this was a good one). As everyone can see our Lodge is im-proving in every aspect possible. Our attendance at the meetings is improving, our membership is growing. Lapasations we need to work on. If anyone knows of anyone who you sponsor and they dropped out try to bring then back. Also I would like to thank our membership who gave to the E.N.F this year. We made the Grand Lodge goal. Great job! A special thanks for Diane Mathews for doing a Great Job of collecting those donations. Please read the rest of the bulletin and mark on your calendar for some of our up and coming events and let’s remem-ber without your help we could never have made this a Great Lodge of Ours. Well, until January I’d like to wish every Elk and their family a Merry, Merry Christmas and God Bless.
Fraternally,
Michael Greaver, Exalted Ruler

From the Christmas baskets committee: The Christmas baskets applications are behind the bar...the deadline to return them to the lodge is on the application. The return by date is December 5th but if you have one that needs to be turned in after the 5th please just make sure it gets to Linda directly so it can be added in with the other applications right away... I also want to congratulate and give a big hand to the lodge as a whole sold 1,000.00 tickets in two weeks in support of the Christmas baskets to win The McCormick Spice basket. ..The winners are The seller was a Company called Hockstein and The buyer was am employee named Karen Toler. A big Congratulations ! to Karen and The Hockstein Company re-donated the basket that they won to the lodge. To Everyone who helped our Christmas Basket Program in being able to meet our goal together and a big Thank You!! for the lodges' support. The Basket of cheer will be displayed in the antler room by next Friday or sooner along with the raffle tickets. Again, I thank the entire lodge for all of there support in this much needed program...besides the raffle tickets. There is a list in the antler room with the complete list of non-perishables that we are asking to be donated. This year we are also asking and accepting children's toys to give out in the Christmas baskets...since we don't know exactly what age and gender of the children yet. You can give a toy donation by using the age appropriate label and then decide if you want to donate a girl or boy toy...or a non-specific gender toy... (a toy that a boy or girl can play with)...I THANK everyone for helping and supporting this important program... The baskets will be assembled and delivered on Saturday, December 19th we are asking for elf volunteers to meet us at the lodge between 7-8am to help us put the baskets together and drop them off...Any questions please contact Linda Greaver-Vibbert at 443-629-1905
Thank You Again, Sincerely Yours, LINDA Greaver-Vibbert
