The fishing day event was a great success, this was a chance for Braunstone fishing club membersto meet and chat. The weather conditions were fair, but the fish weren't feeding very well.Club members used maggots and boilies, the anglers used various methods for example; floatfishing, ledgering etc. Their wasn't much of a catch two members pulled out a couple of nicecommon carp in good condition. All in all, it was a great day and everyone enjoyed it and it waswell organised by the clubs head bailiff Stephen Halford.Next season we will be holding junior coaching sessions, if you are 12-16 come and join ourJunior Club in January 2015. Watch this space for up and coming events and news.Elaine Halford.

Tim Stevens, the Bishop of Leicester, came to visit St Peter’son Sunday October 5th to confirm 5 people from localchurches – part of his visit to the “West Leicester MissionPartnership”.

Whatever your views are on war and peace, this is a chanceto remember those who lost their lives in all the conflicts ofthe 20th Century, and pray for peace in the 21st Century. After the Communion, there will be a short act of Remem-brance at approx 11am.

A chance to come and remember your loved ones who’ve diedrecently (or not so recently) – light a candle, say some, quietprayers... and have a cuppa and a chat afterwards.Chris Burch

through the windows.● Report, immediately, people acting suspiciously

near your home● If you believe there are local homes which are

vulnerable, then please contact us.● Remember not to leave empty boxes in the street,

this highlights what is in your property makingit tempting for burglars.

● If you have presents wrapped keep them out ofsight in a secure location and away fromwindows.

Tackling issues of nuisance motorbikes on BendbowRise remains a priority for us. I would encourageanyone to come forward in confidence if you haveany information. Dear Alert,I felt I needed to complement b-connected after the teaparty. The tenants at Sandyhurst really enjoyed theafternoon, some caught up with old friends that theyhad not seen in a while some others whom don’t usuallyventure out of there flats had a marvellous time.I also managed to make some more connections withanother services provider which Sandyhurst tenants canget involved in, so a great day was had by all.Keep up the good work, it just proves what a valuableservice you all provide within the community ofBraunstone.Kind RegardsSharon (Sandyhurst Manager )

I would just like to write a few words in memory of mydear friend ‘Bobby Dudman’.What a wonderful, brave and determined lady she was,she wanted to do and go everywhere with me, when wefirst lived near each other. She loved all the bus trips andto go to the b-connected Tea Parties. The last couple of years, Bobby was very poorly, but youcould not stop her from going to town, or Iceland. Sheloved to take her lovely dog, Rosie, for walks, she pushedherself to do it. When she could not go so far, we used tohave tea and lemon splits. I miss her for making my ricepuddings and crumbles. Bobby was a brilliant cook, andevery afternoon we would have tea and sit for a couple ofhours putting the world to rights. We had so many laughs.I still can not believe she is not with us. I miss her so verymuch. Sleep peacefully Bobbie xAlso I would like to remember Alan Chapman, who wasa gentleman and a very good friend to me. If it was notfor Alan, I would not be able to go about as I do. Manythanks and much love to you. R.I.P Alan xAnn Regan
