The availability and protection o vital inormation held by organisations is becoming
increasingly complex. The hardware that holds digital assets is qicly becoming
obsolete, as are the le ormats and sotware which interpret them.
With technology obsolescence threatening the tre availability o digital
inormation, organisations need to not only realise the potential riss and costs o digital asset loss, bt also nderstand how to proactively address these isses or
tre ris mitigation.
To be able to maintain the accessibility, athenticity and integrity o inormation over
time, digital preservation strategies, tools and procedres need to be developed and
resorces need to be made available.
This connected orm will provide yo with opportnities to hear timely and practical
digital preservation case stdies. Yo’ll be armed with techniqes to:
Deal eectively with the growing amont o digital objects in yor organisation

This participative worshop will provide practical gidance on how to sccessllyachieve both.
