Prinicipal’s Report

Welcome back to Term 2 2019,

I hope your break was filled with fresh air, sunshine and the goodness of being with family and friends. I know mine was. I heard that the valley was an extremely busy place the whole two weeks.

Sculpture in Valley Launch - Wednesday

The staff and I are very excited to be starting the week by sharing our Sculpture in the Valley school site launch this Wednesday, 1st May, at school from 5-6pm with you all. Please come along. Feel free to be here a bit earlier if you like. The P&C will be hosting with canapés and punch and we will also have an exhibit of photographs, student-created models (maquettes) and concept art drawings and colour palettes. See you tomorrow afternoon for our launch.

ANZAC Day

Thank you to all parents and children who could attend the village ANZAC Commemoration. I was so proud of our students representing the school so well.

School Counsellor

Our current school counsellor Melinda Bolton is managing higher duties at Bomaderry High School and Kathy King will be at school today in her place and on Friday 17th May. Melinda will return after that.

Wakakirri 2019

We are very keen to begin our Wakakirri journey with our amazing dance artist Jacquie this Friday whom we worked with in 2017. Mothers Day Stall is next week ...Friday 10th May

Each year the P&C run a Mothers Day stall of small gifts and flowers so the

children can buy a special gift for mum all by themselves. It is NOT a fund-raising

venture, just a chance for the kids to experience the fun of choosing something small and special for their mum or carer.

Items will be priced from $2 to $5. The children also decorate a gift bag during

Art with Mrs Greer, to present their gift in. Don’t forget to give your child a little money next FRIDAY if you wish them to buy a gift.

As the start of the second school term approaches, it is timely to remember our commitment to improving safety around buses.

Transport for NSW’s bus flashing lights campaign will begin Term 2, week starting 28 April 2019. The campaign targets motorists, highlighting the laws around bus flashing lights and the fact that motorists must ‘Slow down to 40 when bus lights flash’.
