Over the years, the appearance of Spiral Jetty has changed because of the changes in the weather and the tide of the lake. This is exactly what Smithson had planned to demonstrate through his art the power of nature. In fact, today Spiral Jetty has almost disappeared from the Great Salt Lake.  1. Land art or environmental art isn’t new. In fact, it is ancient. More than three thousand years
