Reading Goals The percentage of students scoring a level 3 on the 2012 FCAT Reading will increase from 56% to 64%. O Literacy Mondays will be used to implement readingstrategies for ALL students. O Higher Order Thinking Strategies will be implemented in reading, language arts, and social studies classes. O PLCs will discuss formal and informal data and how to use this data to drive instruction. O All teachers will be trained in selecting and identifying complex text. 7. Writing Goals The percentage of students scoring a level 3.5 or above on the 2012 FCAT Writes will increase from 69% to 80%. O Monthly writing assessments will be given school O O O Owide. All LA teachers will be trained on the new scoring rubric. PLCs will discuss formal and informal data and how to use this data to drive instruction. In the 3rd quarter, 8th Grade Classes will conduct student-centered writing boot camps twice a week. All students scoring below a 4 will be invited to attend interactive Saturday writing camps. 12.
