Activity: Plasticine nests / building the Kabah Watch This: Conversation: Building the Kabah; Hajj Worksheet: The Kabah Quiet Time At school 1. Listen attentively to the stories. 2. Chatting with teacher and class about how and why the Kabah was built. 3. Thinking about the journey every Muslim makes once in their lifetime, if they are healthy and can afford it, called Hajj. 4. Singing about praising Allah. At home Talk to your child about the story of the prophets, Ibrahim (pbuh) and Ismail (pbuh), and Makkah. Why? To nurture the children’s sense of being Muslim so that, as four/five year olds, they may live Islam to the full, at home, at school, and in an Irish context. Allah asked the prophets Ibriham (pbuh) and Ismail (pbuh) to build the Kabah. We think about the day when we may one day make our journey to the Kabah. When it is quiet time we sit quiet and still….
