For this rotation the objective was to make a piece of furniture, basing the design off an exemplar chair, mine being the Wassily Chari by Marcel Breuer. It was also designed

in thought that the chair may be placed in a dorm in the future. It was in coordination with the Green Dorm Project.

Project Length: 7 weeksProfessor: Jodi La Coe

For this design build we, in a group assignment, were asked to help our client Tim Simpson with the Learning Factory and some of its issues. We decided to focus on thenetworking space or lobby and make a structure that would enhance said area in order to make it more professional. We learned a lot about the construction process including making models and demos- facilitating better results. My role was to document and create the sponsor panels on the structure.

Project Length: 6 weeksProfessor: Rebecca Henn

This project was also made with the intent to create a design utilizing digital production and models for a musician’s lake house at Bald Eagle State Park.

My concept was all about creating a separation between the music and living spaces of the home.

This assignment was meant to ensure a full understanding of what analyzing a precedent entailed. We were each given a building to look at and comprehend the different aspects of the design and

the architect’s ideas creating an analytique. My building was the east wing of the national gallery by I.M. Pei

NCMA: This project was all about using a concretemasonry unit that wecreated out of plasterand using that to inspirea Brooklyn Bridge Museum. The site of the proposedmuseum was in Dumbo,NY and was situated right between the two bridges. Because of this I chose to find my conceptwith the suspension that makes the bridges so distinguished.

As suspension and tension support the Brooklyn and

Manhattan bridges, as do they support the galleries.

Cables are a way to connect both the boroughs

of the city and the areas of the museum
