Jack Everly is the Principal Pops Conductor ofthe Baltimore and Indianapolis SymphonyOrchestras, Naples Philharmonic Orchestraand National Arts Centre Orchestra (Ottawa),and the newly named Music Director of the“National Memorial Day Concert” and “ACapitol Fourth” on PBS. This season, hereturns to the Cleveland Orchestra andappears as guest conductor in Detroit,Edmonton, Ft. Worth and Phoenix.
Everly is the Music Director of YuletideCelebration, now celebrating its 25th anniver-sary. These theatrical symphonic holiday con-certs are presented annually in December inIndianapolis and are seen by more than40,000 concertgoers. Everly led the ISO in itsfirst Pops recording, Yuletide Celebration,Volume One, that included three of his ownarrangements.
Originally appointed by MikhailBaryshnikov, Everly was conductor of theAmerican Ballet Theatre for 14 years,where he served as Music Director. In addi-tion to his ABT tenure, he has teamed withMarvin Hamlisch in Broadway shows thatHamlisch scored, including, The GoodbyeGirl, They’re Playing Our Song and A ChorusLine. He conducted Carol Channing hundreds
of times in Hello, Dolly! in two separateBroadway productions.
Everly has conducted the songs forDisney’s animated classic, The Hunchback ofNotre Dame, and led the Czech Philharmonicon the CD In the Presence, featuring tenorDaniel Rodriguez. He also conducted the crit-ically praised Everything’s Coming Up Roses:The Complete Overtures of Broadway’s JuleStyne, and was music director for numerousBroadway cast recordings.
In 1998, Everly created the SymphonicPops Consortium serving as Music Director.The Consortium, based in Indianapolis, pro-duces a new theatrical pops program eachseason. In the past 12 years, more than 225performances of SPC programs have takenplace across the U.S. and Canada, includingthis season’s Mysterioso: Music, Magic &Mayhem.
Maestro Everly holds an HonoraryDoctorate of Arts from Franklin College in hishome state of Indiana. When not on the podi-um or arranging, Everly indulges in his lovefor films, Häagen-Dazs and a pooch namedMax.

Eric Kunze has had the rare pleasure of star-ring on Broadway in leading roles for the bet-ter part of his professional career. Kunzerecently received an IRNE Award for his per-formance as “The Man” in the national tour ofAndrew Lloyd Webber’s Whistle Down theWind. Prior to that he starred in the title roleof the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar(with Carl Anderson). Broadway credits:“Marius” in Les Misèrables (opposite LeaSalonga), “Chris” in Miss Saigon and “JoeHardy” in Damn Yankees (with Jerry Lewis).He has received rave reviews for the title rolein Joseph and the Amazing TechnicolorDreamcoat (Los Angeles, KC Starlight,Sacramento Music Circus and Boston, earninghim an IRNE award for best actor). Terrence Mann has worked on the Broadwaystage, in film and television, as a director,composer and artistic director. On Broadway,he originated the roles of the Beast in Beautyand the Beast (Tony, Drama Desk, OuterCritics Circle nominations), Inspector Javert inLes Misèrables (Tony nomination), Rum TumTugger in Cats and Chauvelin in The ScarletPimpernel. Other Broadway credits includeLennon (Ensemble), The Rocky Horror Show(Frank ‘N’ Furter), Getting Away With Murder(Greg), A Christmas Carol (Scrooge), Rags(Saul), Barnum (Ringmaster), Jerome Robbin’sBroadway, and Jekyll and Hyde. Film and TVcredits include: A Chorus Line, Big Top PeeWee, “Law and Order,” “One Life to Live” and“As the World Turns” (Emmy nomination). Heis founding Artistic Director of the CarolinaArts Festival. He also served as ArtisticDirector of the North Carolina Theatre for 10

Kathy appeared on Broadway in Oklahoma!,and NINE starring Antonio Banderras andChita Rivera, originated the role of Ariadneopposite Nathan Lane in the The Frogs, stand-by Diana in the Pulitzer Prize winning NextTo Normal, and the standby Grania in ThePirate Queen. Kathy had the great pleasure ofperforming at Carnegie Hall and The RoyalAlbert Hall in London with the concert andlive recording of Kristina. She has toured theU.S. as Christine Daae in Phantom of theOpera, soloist in The Music of Andrew LloydWeber, and was chosen by Hal Prince to playEva Peron in the 25th anniversary tour ofEvita. In Chicago, she was honored with theJoseph Jefferson Award for Polly in Crazy forYou, and nominations for Fantine in LesMisèrables, the maid in Putting it Together,and Clara in Passion. Born in 1944 of Hungarian parents, Claude-Michel Schönberg began his career in Franceas a singer, writer and producer of pop songs.In collaboration with Alain Boublil he is thebook co-writer and the composer of LaRévolution Française, Les Misérables, MissSaigon, Martin Guerre and The Pirate Queen.In 2008, his new musical, Marguerite, in col-laboration with Alain Boublil, HerbertKretzmer and Michel Legrand opened at theHaymarket Theatre in London. Schönberghas supervised overseas productions and co-produced several international cast albums ofhis shows. In 2001, he composed his firstballet score, Wuthering Heights, which wascreated by the Northern Ballet in 2002. Hisnew ballet, Cleopatra, which opened in early2011, is his second collaboration with DavidNixon and his seventh complete score.Schönberg co-wrote the screenplay and recon-ceived the music for the Les Misérables musi-
cal movie (release 2012). In 2003, Schönbergmarried the English ballerina, CharlotteTalbot. He is the father of one son and twodaughters.

Marie Zamora began her career as a classicaltrained soprano and dancer in France. As asinger and actress, Zamora has performedprincipal roles across the globe, includingCosette in Les Misèrables (Mogador Theatre,Paris), Kate in Kiss Me, Kate (Geneva OperaHouse and Mogador Theatre, Paris), SinaMarnis in Pirandello’s Les Nouvelles de Sicile(Sylvia Montfort Theatre, Paris), Mrs. Barnumin Barnum (Celestins Theatre, Lyon), Corneliain La Comtesse Dracula (Mouffetard Theatre,Paris), and Eugénie in Le Voyage de Mozart aPrague (Potinière Theatre, Paris). Zamoratravelled internationally as a soloist with com-poser Michel LeGrand. She has done exten-sive concert work including Hey Mr. Producerat the Lyceum Theatre in London, celebrating25 years of Cameron Mackintosh’s career. Incollaboration with Michel Legrand and AlainBoublil, Zamora is the co-book writer of

Alain Boublil is the author of the librettos andlyrics for the musicals, La RévolutionFrançaise (1973), Les Misérables (1980), MissSaigon (1989), Martin Guerre (1996) and ThePirate Queen (2006), all in collaboration withClaude-Michel Schönberg, as well asMarguerite (2008) with Claude-MichelSchönberg, Michel Legrand, Herbert Kretzmerand Jonathan Kent. A new version ofMarguerite is currently playing in Ostrava(Czech Republic) with additional book anddirection by Marie Zamora. Boublil is therecipient of two Tony Awards (Best Score andBest Book), two Grammys, two Victoire de laMusique Awards and a Molière Award for LesMisérables. He has received an EveningStandard Drama Award for Miss Saigon and aLaurence Olivier Award forMartin Guerre. Heis the author/librettist of Abbacadabra withsongs by Abba (1984), of the stage adaptationof Demy/Legrand film, Les Demoiselles deRochefort, author of the play, The Diary ofAdam and Eve (based upon short stories byMark Twain), and the prize-winning Frenchnovel, Les dessous de soi. He co-wrote thescreenplay and co-produced the soundtrack of
the Les Misérables movie for release inDecember 2012. He is producing in the U.S.the “Do You Hear The People Sing?” concertseries, a symphonic evening of songs fromBoublil and Schönberg musicals, currentlyplaying in major U.S. cities.

Named Pennsylvania’s Artist of the Year byGovernor Tom Ridge in 1998 and dubbed “anational treasure” by American RecordReview, Robert Page, dean of America’schoral conductors, served as Music Directorand Conductor of the Mendelssohn Choir for26 years, and now holds the title of MusicDirector Emeritus.
From 1989-2006, Robert Page held thetitle of Director of Special Projects and ChoralActivities with the Pittsburgh SymphonyOrchestra. He is Director of Choral/OperaStudies and Paul Mellon University Professorof Music at Carnegie Mellon University. Pageserved as Assistant Conductor and Director ofChoruses of the Cleveland Orchestra (1971-1989). Prior to coming to Pittsburgh, Pageserved on the faculty of Temple Universityand was Music Director of the MendelssohnClub of Philadelphia, preparing choruses forthe Philadelphia Orchestra for 19 years. Formore than 13 years, Page has prepared theAll-Star College Chorus for the PSO andMarvin Hamlisch.
A veteran of summer stock performances,Page was one of the first musical staff mem-bers of the Brunswick (ME) Music Theatre,now the Maine State Theatre. He did the two-piano score for The Most Happy Fella, FrankLoesser’s famous Broadway musical. AtCarnegie Mellon University, Page is the pro-ducer of the opera and musical theatre pro-ductions and has conducted many of theshows, including Nine, A Little Night Music,Candide, The Rise and Fall of the City ofMahagonny, Merrily We Roll Along, Smileand A Chorus Line (both by MarvinHamlisch). With the Cleveland Orchestra, heconducted Naughty Marietta, H.M.S. Pinaforeand Candide, and Girl Crazy with Chicago’sGrant Park Orchestra. Page has conductedevenings of Lerner & Loewe, Rodgers & Hart& Hammerstein, Cole Porter and GeorgeGershwin, with many American orchestras.
Page’s work can be heard on more than40 major recordings and has receivedGrammy awards for his recordings of Orff’sCarmina burana and Catulli Carmina. He has
eight other Grammy nominations to his cred-it. He is the recipient of the Grand Prix duDisc for Porgy and Bess and a Prix Mondial deMontreux for his world-premiere recording ofthe Shostakovich Symphony No. 13, “BabiYar.” Naxos has released La Muerte de Colon(The Death of Columbus), an opera byLeonardo Balada, conducted by Robert Page.
Page has served on the choral, festivaland overview panels of the NationalEndowment for the Arts. He is a foundingmember of Chorus America, the serviceorganization for independent choruses, serv-ing as president for three years. In 2001, hewas honored as one of the first members ofthe American Choral Directors Associationand in 2009 was made an honorary life mem-ber of the National Collegiate ChoralOrganization.
Robert Page has been the catalyst in thecommissioning of new works includingTurbae (Alberto Ginastera); The Lovers(Samuel Barber); Ball (Richard Hundley);...among the voices (Bernard Rands); and, forthe Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, AnAmerican Oratorio (Ned Rorem), MissaMysteriorum and the critically acclaimedRequiem by Nancy Galbraith. He was thechorus master for the Chicago Lyric Opera/LaScala production of Paradise Lost (KristofPenderecki) at the composer’s request. Duringhis tenure with the Cleveland Orchestra heconducted the first performances of Mass of

The Steinberg Society honorsdonors who have advised the PSO in writing that they have made a provision for the orchestrathrough their estate plans. Members of the Sid Kaplan Tribute program have made a planned gift tothe endowment of $10,000 or more to commemorate a particular person or event. Endowed NamingOpportunities for guest artists, musicians' chairs, concert series, educational programs or designatedspaces allow donors to specify a name or tribute for ten years, twenty years or in perpetuity. What time should I arrive for con-certs? You may want to arrive at least20minutes prior to concert start time toallow time for parking, entering thehall and finding your seat. BNYMellonGrand Classics patrons have the oppor-tunity to attend Concert Preludes,which begin one hour before the con-cert in the auditorium.
What should I wear to concerts?There is no official dress code forevents in Heinz Hall. Many patronswear business attire, and many preferto be more casual. Wear whatevermakes you feel comfortable.
May I bring my children? Introducingsmall children to music is important tothe PSO and we welcome young chil-dren to our youth concerts andFiddlesticks Family Series. Children,approximately age six and over, arewelcome at all performances with apurchased ticket. The Latecomer’sGallery and lobby video monitors arealways options for restless children.
May I take pictures? All still and videophotography, or audio recording arestrictly prohibited at all times.
How will I find parking? Pittsburgh’sCultural District can be very busy butguaranteed prepaid parking is availableto all ticketholders in the Sixth & Penngarage across from Heinz Hall. Askabout prepaid parking when you orderyour tickets.
