HI&I Chemical Functions

Foamers Foaming is an important aspect of surfactants for hard surface cleaning. It signals the presence of cleaning agents that are available to remove soils, and, therefore, is an aesthetic confirmation of the presence of a surfactant in the cleaning formula

Hydrotropes Electrolytes, defined as salts or builders added to cleaning products to enhance detergency, aid in the removal of tough soils but may create a hazy or separated solution.

Wetters Wetting is an important property of surfactants for hard surface cleaning, and it is defined as the ability of a surfactant solution to spread on a surface, which contributes to rapid cleaning. Quick spreading of a surfactant makes soil removal easier, requiring less time and energy.
